Tracey & Kirsty, I have watched this podcast twice -- it is so interesting and inventive. In particular I loved the Turkish crochet strips that you have sown together. The colours are just fantastic. I have also watched the tutorial you made on the Turkish Crochet. I watch many different knitting /crochet podcasts and I enjoy yours the most. You are both fun and supportive of each other.

Wonderful episode ladies! I enjoyed every minute. Your projects are always so fabulous. I was particularly interested in your spinning section today as I’m trying to learn on a Nano too and getting exactly the same issues- but I’m not giving up! I love the new supported spindle too! Another craft that I’m practicing every day! I am absolutely loving spinning! Thank you both for a lovely couple of hours x

Thanks so much Heather! After recording I had a look at Tracy's Nano and there is definitely a problem with it. The tension kept slipping so that was why it wasn't feeding on to the bobbin correctly. After doing some research there seems to be an issue with some of these wheels in the manufacturing process. So that may be why you're having trouble with yours too. The creator has videos on KZbin of various things you can do to correct the issue. Hope you're able to figure out why you're having issues with yours and get it sorted 💕

Kirsty!!! The Tunisian blanket MUST be a tutorial!! It's amazeballs!! Also cannot believe how different the Black Diamond has come up in each of your projects. Thank you! Tracey, Ewan was in Yr 3 and fell out of his bunk bed head first. He managed to whack himself on the ladder, so that he had stripes of bruises up one arm, down his back and onto his leg. I had to go and explain to his teacher cos it looked like we'd been beating him with a stick 🤦‍♀️ Boys will get you into trouble every time 😂 xx

I love your podcast and your projects. That Tunisian blanket sent me flying to Wool Warehouse to order 16 skeins of fable! ($52 USD including shipping - what?!) I can’t wait to start this project. Another great visit, loved everything! Couldn’t even pick a favourite today. I’ve been busy prepping for this seasons markets with a few “knitting for me” projects mixed in. I set very high goals for this year thinking they were too high so if I came close I’d be golden…exceeded them 😂 so now I’m more than ready for the 5 I’m registered for and have been playing around with new things. All 3 of the Moonlit shawls were so interesting I may start one today, so many interesting single skeins hanging around waiting for inspiration. This could be the one! A tutorial would be fun! I love how supportive and excited for each others work you are. You’re very lucky. Have a great month and see you next time, or on Instagram ❤

Oh Kirsty! When you were talking about the silicon barber cords I had just finished picking up a load of dropped stitches after the cord came off the needle tip (again!) - I wanted to strangle the inventor with the damned things! I've never been able to understand why everyone raves about them. I bought some others (well it's just one long piece that you can cut to the length you want) that look similar to the Petite Knit ones but I haven't tried them yet. 🥰

I'm not a fan of the try on cords either, i just always use interchangeable needles for garments so i can use the adapters to add another long cable to try on and then just unscrew and remove once done. That Tunisian crochet blanket is everything i might have to have one in my future ❤❤❤

Lovely podcasts, I’ve just finished the Riptide in drops Karisma a, lovely knit, but I struggled to do the tubular bind off, and had to bind off in pattern…a little frustrated by this, but I’m fairly new to knitting.

@woolandwishes 2 ай бұрын
Thanks Margaret! The tubular bind off can be a pain with pulling the long tail through the stitches so often. Sometimes I'll just do a stretchy bind off instead. Hope you get lots of wear out of your new creation and thanks for spending time with us! 💕

I enjoy seeing what you've made and what you are working on. And I love the crochet! I am working on 2 granny square blankets for sisters age 6 and 4. I made a scrappy one for myself earlier this year and their mom wanted one for each of the girls. But I had used up a good bunch of my dk acrylic on that blanket, so I had to order more....so much for using up the stash. 🤣

Acrylics don't grow Tracey. At least not that much. The striped sweater will be just fine. Try slip stitch around neck line and in the corners of the neck to take away the stress points. Ms. Jo

Hi! Regarding your stone necklace: When I was young, my grandparents were REALLY into rocks. My grandfather made me a necklace from a stone like that and they called it Mexican Crazy Lace, which is a type of agate. So, no, I don't think it's Jasper.
