At this point I expect EA to just go to court with this argument, fail (hopefully) and thus create just a gigantic precident-case (I think that's what it's called) which in turn kills any kind fo Trading-card-type product in the west. That's the only way this can go at that point and, honestly, I wouldn't mind. I'd much rather have similiar ruling s like how these kinds of products are handeld in Thailand. The TCG "Cardfight: VANGUARD" for example gets shipped in two ways over there. You can still buy booster-packs just like anywere else (with special foilings and whatever else), but you can also go out and buy so called "Display-Decks" which contain every card of a new expansion-set once and only costs a little bit more then a regular starter-deck. They don't have any kind fo special foiling, but you are guarenteed to get every card of that set once which means you just have to get 3 friends to buy one as well and everyone can give the cards they don't need to somebody else while you get everything you need in full sets. As you can guess, only the players from Thailand get those, atleast for now.

Dapper Changeling That’s my bad for not being specific enough. Kinder Joy is different. Kinder Joy are more of a dipping food. You peel off a tab and there’s a creamy filling and a little spoon that you dip balls of chocolate in, where as Kinder Surprise is a hollow egg with a capsule and toy inside.

You can beat Let it Die for under 60 dollars in a not wildly unreasonable amount of time. I think it is a bad game with a toxic frustrating difficulty wall after a while, but it is worth noting when it is brought up in these discussions that it isn't 100% built to just bleed you of money. And for the record, yes I did beat it (although if they added content since its launch I haven't kept up with it).

Companies are not good or bad they're neutral since their only motivation is profits. Now excuse us while we engage in something deeply unethical, whch is actually neutral for the reason I just told you.

But the point of stuff like randomized stuff for kids is that it creates a lot of social interaction for them, because when they get repeats the kids are forced to interact with random kids to trade, it's the same reason pokemon is so popular with kids, the social part.

Australian State governments are very into gambling. Pokies (Slot Machines) are in pubs/clubs in sll but one state, we have more pokies than even Macau/Monaco. I've read stats that say gamblers loose an *average* of $3500 a year to the Pokies. They are a major cause of social problems in the areas around them, but the governments won't revoke the licences because they make bank on the taxes from them. Its the gambling they don't profit from that they will slap down hard. Lucky for us, EA's profits all get shifted around to avoid tax so they won't be able to hook the governments the same way.
