Thank you for a lovely video. A bit of info on the nordic patterns:The Familiekofte is knitted in a sport weight (26 stitches/10 centimeters). "Gentag" means "repeat" in Danish. I think it is beacause some of the patterns are a remake of old patterns, and some techniques are repeated in several of the patterns, i.e. a certain lace or a patterned yoke.

There’s so much inspiration here. Although I’ve never knit one Claire Garland’s pattens are some of my favourite toy designs. When it comes to monochrome patterns Figures by Audrey Borrego is on my wish list.

Lovely ideas! I tested Lumme for Sari and it is a fast knit. You will love her patterns - I have tested over 30 for her, and they are always beautifully written and easy to follow.🇨🇦🇫🇮

Really enjoyed your video Emma! I might be misremembering but I feel like you’ve said before that you’re quite short?! I’m 5.2” and have always assumed toast dresses would be too long for me. How have you found the fit? Hope you don’t mind me asking!!becca x

It is a bit long- perfect fitting bodice but a bit long on the bottom half so will probably hem it!

Thanks for all the Inspiration! :) I knit the wild rabbit a few years ago and I totally loved the making process and the finished piece. It is a bit involved but I was amazed by the clever construction 😊! Definitely worth knitting 😊

If you have never knitted a toy before I highly recommend Susan B. Anderson from Barrett Wool Co. She sells kits of her designs in the U.S. but I'm not sure about shipping to the UK? Anyway, you can still get her patterns on Ravelry and knit them in YOUR beautiful yarn. I knit the Good Bunny and it seriously was an amazing pattern. Basically there was no technique I could not do. I would say if you've knit socks (which I know YOU have, just speaking as someone who knows nothing of knitting toys), some knowledge of those techniques would be helpful but it was a great confidence booster having it turn out so successfully.

Love your online shop. What a stunning array of fibre. And your essay on Pale Colours is just brilliant. Can’t wait until I graduate from garter stitch so I can knit a jumper using your yarns. ❤

Thanks Emma, that was a fun video with so many great ideas. The one that I squealed the most about was the baby penguin. I have the perfect yarn for that to make for my grandboys for Christmas.

I think your yarns would be lovely for flat knitted toys. I have done a few Alan Dart patterns, and they are lovely. By knitting flat, you can make really interesting shapes. It involves more seaming, but in the end the toys turn out incredible.

I agree about the Celeste. It did not work for me in the original. I am looking for a beginner colorwork pattern. Would you recommend Lume?

I haven't knitted it myself....The Riddari was my first colourwork pattern and it was very easy- no short rows or anything, really good fit etc.
