Awesome video! If you take the camera off auto exposure mode it won't pulse bright and dark anymore. Then the videos can be as good as the artwork they show off ;)

Hi there! Thank you for your comment! The kit that you downloaded is the right one - just a lot newer than this video! - and yes, some brushes are updated! I'm working on a guide for which of the brushes in the kit are equivalent to the ones shown here. I made the old brushes before Procreate updated to V.5 so the brushes now are updated and frankly, better ;) Sorry it's a little confusing, if you ever have questions (or anything!) feel free to email me - [e-mail] .

thanks for sharing! Id really appreciate a fixed aperture on the recording camera if you have this kind of equipment. sometimes if the arm is covering a bigger portions of the screen the camera adapts to your arm and blows out the highlights on the ipad screen which makes it harder to follow your nice painting process. keep up your great work!!

So sorry for my late reply, I haven't made a video on this but I should, especially now that the brush studio has changed so much! In the meantime, you can go into edit the brush, and under "apple pencil" in the settings, the first section is for pressure and you can adjust the size and opacity to your liking!

Wooly thanks for sharing, really like your paintings! I also struggled with the soft damp brush, and I've downloaded new brushes and using "damp bleed brush" instead of soft damp brush. But it didn't work like yours. The one you paint looked more solid and strong, while mine looked lighter and not much color...do you know how I can do? xx!

Hey Hannah! I updated the set since the making of this video - and while it isn’t exactly the same as the Soft Damp brush in the tutorial, the Damp Bleed brush is the new and improved version. Hope this helps 💛

@@Hannah-ew3wx oo a couple things can influence pigment, if you are painting on a layer below a paper texture, that can help - paper textures set to blend modes like linear burn, multiply, or color burn help enhance the color. And then, like with real watercolor, it can help to choose a more saturated color to paint with since it appears “watered down” with the brushes. Sometimes if something still looks too faint, I will duplicate the layer, adjust the opacity of the duplicate, and merge the two together. Lastly, you can try editing the brush settings if you want to tweak them - if you go into a brush, under Wet Mix, try increasing “attack” and “charge” to adjust pigmentation!

For sure! Are you downloading directly on your iPad? Recently I've found that downloading from the Google Chrome browser on iPad causes issues, so I recommend using Safari to download Procreate files (or the Dropbox app if you have it). Once they're downloaded, either tap to directly import the files into Procreate, or open in side-by-side mode to drag and drop the files. If importing from within Procreate, brush files can only be imported from within the brush library via the + (not from the Gallery page - the 'import' button there will only allow canvases/pdfs/photoshop files to be imported, brushes will appear greyed out). If you still need assistance after the above tips, feel free to send me an email ([e-mail]) with more details (screenshots are great, screen recordings are better!) and I can troubleshoot with you!
