@@foolishxhero IMO, seeing references from a rhythm game in other rhythm games is fun. I've seen SEGA charters bring the gimmick from Arcaea to CHUNITHM, or KSM fan charters bring the gimmicks from other games to KSM, and I love them.

Shit was mad fun and competitive. And my comparaison clearly shows that I mean to say it was better. If that's insulting to anyone it would be to the developers of piano tiles.

Piano Tiles gained attention for being a simple rhythm game (even if it cal barely be called one) for all ages, and its simplicity was part of what made it popular. Putting in more effort to improve the game doesn't mean it's wrong to compare it to an older, simpler, even SHITTIER and more popularized game. Piano Tiles was the go-to game when we were kids, it was like the small snippet of that introduced us into the genre. If they've upgraded on all the aspects of the genre, that's great. The effort they put in should be appreciated, not insulted. Making a big deal out of a harmless joke is unnecessary.

Piano tiles came out at 2014 maimai a completely ORIGINAL classical rhythm game came out in 2012 Dance Dance Revolution came out in 2013 PARAPPA THE RAPPER CAME OUT IN 1996, the OG rhythm game, and Sound Voltex came out in 2012, ALL OF THESE are extremely popular. Get your normie ass out of piano tiles for 3 seconds and look at actual good games. Not a horrible charted despacito in the 600th Piano Tiles copy.

Forgot to mention but I'm pretty sure there are certain stories you need to read before unlocking AT diffs. Just go to Chapter EX and read all the stories with the title starting with "Decryption" and you're good.
