About MOTH
Multi-talented artist, Woosung, has made an anticipated return on May 13 with a new EP titled MOTH via Transparent Arts. The project includes four all-English tracks encapsulating the theme MOTH. Woosung’s wide range of talents and musicality will be at the forefront of the project, as the EP was written and produced by the artist himself. “While a butterfly is perceived as a beautiful and touchable creature in the daylight, a moth is nocturnal and often colorless, translucent, and drawn to the light. Taking a closer look, these dull, unpopular moths can be just as pleasing to the eye, when the light shines through them as they fly through the night.
MOTH symbolizes the transformation, change, rebirth, and power of regeneration. MOTH takes the path of the unpopular, the unchosen, the not-so-beautiful ones and takes the listener into a world where the butterflies and moths can be seen side by side.”

About WOOSUNG
Woosung is a Korean-American musician, singer, songwriter, and composer, best known for being the vocalist and electric guitarist of South Korean band The Rose.
Debuting in 2017 with the soft-rock hit “Sorry,” The Rose was named one of the “New K-Pop Artists to Watch” by Billboard. They subsequently broke into the top 10 of Billboard’s “Next Big Sound,” “World Digital Song Sales” and “World Albums” charts with the EPs, Dawn and Void, the latter of which also hit #1 on the U.S. iTunes’ K-Pop Albums chart, solidifying the band’s dominance as one of the fastest accelerating artists across the internet.
As the frontman of The Rose, Woosung made his solo debut in 2019 with the EP, Wolf, and its title single, “Face,” quickly racking up nearly 20 million views on KZbin. In 2020, Woosung lent his vocals to the original soundtrack of award-winning K-drama series, Itaewon Class. A multifaceted performer, Woosung released his debut feature-length album, Genre, in December of 2021. After embarking on the North American tour as the opening act for the legendary South Korean hip hop group Epik High, Woosung’s latest solo effort, MOTH, is released via Transparent Arts.
He currently resides in Los Angeles.

This album as insanely good!! I have been a fan of The Rose, and your solo songs for some time, but at the age of 61 I am not ashamed to say I went into fan girl mode for this album - I was so impressed that I made my two sons listen, then my granddaughter, and niece, and then to top it off my 84 yr old Mother also joined in. I talked to her today and she was doing her 10.000 daily steps listening to your music on her Spotify playlist. They all downloaded it they loved it that much. I felt so proud of you, and couldn't contain my joy over sharing this amazing artistic creation. Goes to show no matter how old you are music transcends generations, and we are living proof.

I saw his live show in Seoul and he is such a good performer! Love his vibe. And he also sounds so good live (as expected tho!) I'm leaving Seoul soon and getting to see him irl was one of the best things I got to do in my time here. Modern Life is my fav from this ep and it's just helped me to realised so much! He was brought out Ashley and The Rose!!! I got very emotional cause I was with them literally since day 1! I started mt KZbin channel by reaction to 'Sorry'. Woosung! I have just known you, to be honest, it’s because when you were in Paris, last May, 2022, for your concert, a lot shared their videos of your concert on Instagram, so it popped out and I started to watch them, I watch your show from all around the world through fancam (thanks to all of them by the way!) and actually I immediately fell in love at « first hearing » (my first contact was with ILYSB).. your voice took my breath away. I stood still. Totally frozen but in a warm way! And I thought « oh my 🥹! Who the hell is he? » Sometimes, I feel sad I didn’t go to the concert when I had the occasion just because I did not know who the artist was. Well, Means it wasn’t meant to be. Meanwhile, I got to go deeper in your portfolio, listened to some itw, on KZbin, some of your songs and this is how I got addicted to Moth EP! This is a marvel to me. The lyrics, the music, the voice, the mood. So I don’t know yet all of your background as an artist, not your group The Rose, but I’m sure in a few weeks/ months, the Love will grow bigger and bigger.
