Why we still have people who live in poverty while many pastors are talking about millions of dollars which they have received ?? 💵 I more often feel to give my tithe not to the Church to feed the pastor and His family so they can be spoiled with wealthy life but to tithe truly to those who doesn’t have food, clothes to survive in this world.

The poor we will always have with us. Offering and tithes are unto the Lord. I pray you are led to a church that you feel will steward the tithes they receive for the good of your community. Back in the day, churches would provide help to those in need that are in their congregations. Even though your tithe goes to the church, the church has duties and things that it is supposed to do with the money. It is even supposed to hold meetings with its board to discuss how finances will be used. At the end of the day, when you tithe or give offering, pray that the Lord leads you to the ministry He has in mind for you to sow into. If you want to make offering or donation to others that is of course fine too. I think that sometimes for some reason people of God are afraid when folks talk about being blessed with financial stability. I am not sure why since the Bible has so many promises of experiencing God’s abundance and provision. I pray you have a very blessed 2021!

@Agata....You have a good point...We are told to be good stewards of our money, and be thoughtful in our giving. Lashae mentioned some great suggestions. One thing to remember... We are not obligated to tithe, but are encouraged to give as led and cheerfully...2Cor9:6-11.
