👉 Learn how to solve the word problems with trigonometry. Word problems involving angles, including but not limited to: bearings, angle of elevations and depressions, triangles problems etc are solved using trigonometry. To be able to solve these problems it is important that you have a grasp of the major trigonometric identities, the Pythagoras rule, the sine rule and the cosine rule.
Just like every word problem, the key to solving a trigonometric word problem is understanding the problem, then represent the information in the problem geometrically (with a diagram). This will give you the full view of the known and the unknown information and also provides you with the best approach to solving the problem.

At 3:55, just use 30-60-90 triangles to find y=25 and x=25*root3. this is a great vid!

since it is a 60, 30, 90 triangle at 4:33 because the corresponding side to 90 is 50, the corresponding side from 30 is y, which is half of 50, which is 25. Also, the corresponding side to 60 would be 25 root 3. So that would be a easier way to solve for those sides, because in a 30, 60, 90 triangle: corrs. side to 30 is x, corrs. side to 60 is x root 3, corrs. side to 90 is 2x

I think he forgot to subtract 20° from the final answer he got. He found the angel for the triangle he made not the triangle the problem asked for.

u mean he forgot to subtract 30 cuz he made his own 30-60-90 triangle?

teach, you could've just used cosine law to find the third side, you didn't have to create the bigger triangle and all that.
