Have downloaded the app (thank you)! I am unable to login though I am using the correct email and password. Not sure you're still supporting Tile Tracker but if you are, could you please advise? I'm not on Facebook so this was the only way I could find to possibly communicate with you. Thanks very much. AnnaGramm

Appreciate the support as always! The App question is one which keeps coming up. In an ideal world I'd love to do it - I'm a Software Engineer by profession, but I have almost zero experience of app development so it would be a great learning experience. Unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world, so there are a few reasons why I don't have a plan to build one at this time. 1. It increases the number of things which I need to support and maintain, and the number of platforms. I'd want to cater (at least) for both Android and iOS users, so that's 2 new and completely different chunks of code to look after. It would make this more like a job and less like a hobby, if that makes sense? With a complete rewrite of the website, I could create an API which the apps could hook into, but there's still going to be a lot of platform-specific code required. 2. With my full time job and other hobbies, I've not been able to find the time to prioritise this work. A couple of years ago I made an extremely simple Android app which was reasonably successful, but I didn't publish it because I could not take on the commitment of supporting it and extending it. 3. The website is intentionally very simple in appearance and functionality, works on almost any screen size, and almost everything with a screen has a web browser on it these days. It's a universal platform and takes away any dependence on a specific device or operating system. I regularly use it on my Android phone, iPad, MacBook, Kindle 3, and occasionally in a text-only web browser on my home server. It's so versatile that I struggle to see what an app could offer over and above that, other than perhaps earning me a small income - but I'm not in this for the money :-) I suspect that one sleepless night I will decide to get into app development, and at that point my first project will be the Tile Tracker, but there are no plans to do this right now.
