All of them actually do have a vowel, though - the letter y. In English, y is a semivowel, serving sometimes as a consonant and sometimes as a vowel depending on context. If you really want to throw him off, I'd suggest replacing the 5 letter word with "crwth," a Welsh bowed string instrument.

Mostly I'm enby though. Roommates is a reference to how, historically, lesbians were often seen (or rather, portrayed by historians) as just close friends who shared a room their whole lives - leading to the common phrase "and they were roommates". Programmer is a double whammy - there's the stereotype about trans people often going into some IT-related field, and there's the joke about trans women often wearing thigh high socks sometimes called "programmer socks" (the root of that term may or may not be related to the first stereotype) Stigmatized because, well, all of these identities have been at one point or another.
