Dearest Bishop Robert Barron, Good morning! Thank you for the Sunday sermon today. "The whole church worldwide needs a single figure whom in they can find their unity." As a simple quality like you, you're bone in my bone, flesh, and my flesh. Through you Bishop, I find my unity. I believe Jesus has entitled to be the King. There's one King whose power has never faded, and whose kingdom will never end because I've seen Jesus as the redeemer throughout all of history. Jesus Christ demonstrated royal mercy by imitating God's compassion toward his creatures. He showed forbearance when people sinned. He understood their weakness. He provided for them. And he granted them relief from their suffering. My children and I don't fight and break relations with the King because he has authority over all creation. H. B. Bishop Barrons is will be celebrating my 80th this Thanks giving. My message to you today is I thank you for the gift of renewal. I must confess sometimes I feel I have heard it all. I was born and raised CATHOLIC, I DID TAKE A COUPLE OF DETOURS BUT at last I heard the voice of Jesus in my heart in the middle of my final commitment to the Lord I heard Him say as He did to Peter, " Will you leave me too?" MY heart started pounding as I said" Where else can I go?" That was many life times ago, and I never went to that cross road again, and only through the grace of the Holy Spirit recognizing when I seem to be going that direction HE reminds me of those words Jesus and Peter. I do now and then am challenged with the thought I have heard all of the sermons of all the Masses and then I listen to you. And I am refreshed. THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING TO OUR LIRD GOD AND SAVIOR. Happy Birthday Bishop Barron. I might be a day late. I would like to tell the story of a dream I had three times in my life. Twice when I was about 20yrs old. It was a very bad time in my life, and I had committed a great sin. More than one really. I was fortunate enough to confess my sins and receive absolution. Anyway, let me take you back to these very particular dreams. It was the same dream three times in total. I good feel Christ and the devil fighting over me. I did not let go of Christ. So Christ had won the battle for my soul, twice. Many years latter I had the dream again, but this time I told the devil to leave, I would not even listen. Then the dream ended. It took me years to come back to the church. It wasn’t until my son died, which I know would happen that night. I freely gave him to Christ. I will tell about that night at a later time. He died the next morning in a single vehicle car accident. That was on a Sunday morning. By the next Sunday I had already had a funeral for him. Then I knew I had to go to mass. It was then that I was truly engaged. I knew Christ had taken him home. Peace of Christ bishop Barron.🇨🇦✝️

This was even more excellent than even your usual excellence Bishop Barron. You said: "Both personally and institutionally the powers of darkness don't want to let us go." How true that is. Every time I prepare for confession my first thought is "How have I sinned against you God?" And my response is always pretty much "every day in every way." Because it's so difficult to avoid sin and the near occasion of sin in this world, it's ubiquitous, everywhere, all around us, all the time. I like the way you address putting Jesus and Christianity in the "cute" box without recognizing that Jesus was more than just a teacher or even a king. He fought against evil with weapons of mercy, forgiveness and love throughout his life on earth. Until he overcame and vanquished it on the cross. He did this to show all of us the way to salvation, through his love and mercy. Thank you so much for all the work you do and for sharing your intellectual gifts for philosophy and your understanding of the scriptures and the catechism with a world that so desperately needs it.

My repeated attendance at liberal, protestant churches, unitarians, all perpetrated an empty pulpit. No wonder I left their services with the emphemeral temptation to step in front of a mack truck. Evangelicals? Well.... Here I am listening to Bishop Barron this Sunday mourn. To paraphrase Nabokov, in referring to his response to reading a section from great literature: the pleasure of experiencing the tingle in the full length of the spine. Religously, Bishop Barron provokes such tingle in the full length of the soul. I use the word, provoke, deliberately. It is not an easy message Bishop Barron offers, imho. Not a yellow brick road. To resist fighting darkness on evil's terms? Not easy. To accept unity under the Greater Divine Mercy through non-violent, forgiveing love? Challenge is a woeful understatement. As always, Bishop Barron: thank you and God keep.
