Appears to be the first show of the week, and as per a web search, the airdate May 26, 1987(delayed from 5/25/1987 because of an NBC news special report on 5/5)

I wasn't aware of the delay. I didn't think there were any unscheduled preemptions of this show until the Iran-Contra Hearings, which began July 7.

@@jehobden Super Password appears to have been preempted on 5/7 and 5/22, and Wordplay aired after that(on the NBC stations that aired the shows and/or aired them at Noon-1PM EST)

@@zachhoran Yes, SP & WP were still aired in part during the IC hearings because the hearings would take a break around noon ET daily. Often the cutoff was later than noon, so SP or even WP was sometimes joined in progress.

I don't ever remember seeing the celebs' & host's names displayed as they are at the beginning. I remember seeing this episode back in 1987 because I remember Sally S. talking into her shoe at the start.

Dang. She was on a roll in the end. She probably could've used a few more episodes.

BUZZR briefly reran a few episodes of this game show for a few days in Fall 2017 but pulled it due to a dispute with multiple owned companies.
