The first time I heard this song was on my return trip from Guadalajara, Jalisco to Zacatecas. It was midnight and on the bus the driver kept this song very low so as not to disturb the passengers. I found it very emotional, expressive and sad; On that occasion my grandmother was with us and perhaps I could not tell her many things, I lacked words to express how much I loved her. Every time I hear this song I remember that trip because my grandmother passed away a few months later.

I am listening to this song on 10 sept, 2020. The song will stand the test of time, simple lyrics, beautiful melody, and truthfully conveying that a man is short of words to describe his love for a woman. Lyrics are repetitive, but songs like ‘across the universe’, we also see repetition in lyrics, but it conveys the mood or the thought of the lyrics writer, through very simple words, depicts the thought and feelings of a person. What I truly marveled at, is the beautiful rhythm and the melody of this song. And in the 80s, you have the synthesizer to experience on music rather than the acoustic guitar.
