Unlike the Old Covenant, where priests mediated through repeated animal sacrifices, Jesus offered Himself as the perfect, once-for-all sacrifice, granting believers direct access to God. This fulfilled the Old Covenant, established the New Covenant, and introduced the universal priesthood of all believers.
