@@tinman3586 The funny thing is, that WOULD actually be the best possible way to prove his mortality XD, so it's a very good answer, and, Q's retort seems kind-of weak and insecure, which seems like a good way to make Q seem weak and vulnerable to the audience, in-turn, making it easier for the audience to begin to empathize with Q.

The writer of that scene also had a very strange idea of what a peace treaty was. A peace treaty doesn't automatically mean "allies", it just means "we won't shoot you on sight, and we'll maintain communication." It's one of those instances that Marina Sirtis talks about in her Q&As, "Before she got the space suit (Starfleet uniform), Troi was an idiot. After she got it (in Chain of Command), the writers suddenly figured out that she actually has a brain!"

I couldn't agree more, though there are always exceptions to a rule. I believe someone should take exceeding care even in dire situations, always think things through with what little time you have, try and think on alternate possibilities, or backup plans should one be forced to work with someone untrustworthy. A number of ds9 episodes taught me that, among other sources, including Batman.

I'm sorry for your bullying, I've gone through a bit myself, not at that young age, but young enough to know what you mean. Real life does not always allow for an ease of assessment or quick reaction to avoid danger, especially for children. That's one reason why, as much as I hate instilling paranoia in a kid, I do believe in having some simple rules of thumb for kids to follow to have the best chance to avoid dangerous people, like always going for an adult if asked to help someone, not trying to help the other person, EVER. As for bullying, that's tricky depending on the situation, and actually I wonder what your specific situation was, given the topic of giving trust, if you don't mind my asking. If you do mind, I won't pry, I don't want to open wounds.

I've always loved Worf and the Klingons. It would be so great if Paramount did a Star Trek show that is only about the Klingons, that maybe takes place somewhere in their past. They reference so many things in Klingon history over the different shows that would be so great to see and maybe have one of the main characters be an ancestor of Worf and center around the House of Mog. If done right I would love that so much.
