that scene really highlighted how terribly bad the starfleet security is equipped. no melee weapons like a baton, no stun weapon aside from this phaser (like a tazer), no body armour (riot police gear), nothing PS: why don't they use holographic guards, drones, more forcefields, etc? In such situations it seems like the writers intentionally make the Federation retarded(ly peaceful) just to make it possible for one guy to overwhelm them

I am really glad they brought Worf on DS9 - he had so much more room for character development there and really became one of my favorites. While I love TNG, Worf was often depicted as dumb and over aggressive there.
