Yeah man same here! I graduated with my uni degree in December 2019 ready to start my career. Good luck landing a job during a global pandemic leading to a global financial crisis. When employers can't even provide feedback, how are you meant to improve? Spent all of 2020 applying almost every day, couldn't get an entry position because they kept getting swept up by people with a decade of experience (for an entry level job????) That hit to the mental state was tough, man!

I could rarely get a rejection email out of most of the places I applied to, they would just ghost me and stop responding.

Yes, easily the most unrealistic bit of the whole video :)

My unemployed self reading this title: oh, I’m about to have a bad time, aren’t I? Lemme get some popcorn. Update: my burnt out, maybe traumatized self who worked as an office temp in different offices for over a decade while watching: oh yeah. Oh yeah, it was exactly the bad time I was looking for. Goes great with this popcorn.

So, the intro itself encapsulates why going off to live in a self-sustaining commune is so incredibly appealing to me. The only reason I've not done it yet is because those tend to be based on shared religious beliefs, of which I have none. Atm. I get by on a big garden, where I can produce a lot of my food, and doing gig-baking for money. I am actually content, even though most would think I'm poor.

Wow, a video that perfectly articulated how I've felt while searching for work since graduating earlier this year. After about a year and change in some form of lockdown, in the US, of course, I realized that I was exerting a lot of effort in work and school on performing as I was expected. Being remote for most things, I didn't have to maintain that any more and I've been able to figure out who *I* am and what *I* want, and damn does that make it borderline impossible to jump back into the horrific monotony of workplace drudgery. Impeccable video and insight, friend.
