Work At Pool St. John To Be Continued With Addressing Discoloured Water Issues

This week, Director of Engineering Charles Leslie, walks us through the work done recently at Pool, St. John. This is the first of several phases of works being managed by the BWA under one of the funding programmes and forms part of the solution to resolve the discoloured water issues in the St. John and St. George areas. I fully support your detailed response Cameron. Additionally, will the BWA give consideration to filling water tanks using a clean hose / pipe NOT bucket collections that are heavy & cause back pains?😢

Correction Shane. These are not recent problems. Customers supplied from Bowmanston have endured this situation for decades. Well Charles and Alex, I am happy that you think that you are doing something to address this long suffering problem, but really I am not even going to give the following to my dog. kzbin.infoYb75EhGbZps?si=IplSpdD9Y-pMtrLZ Now if that is the quality of water we get after two days of intermittent rain, what can we expect when the November troughs sit down over us for a week and deluge us. BWA's first objective is to deliver *SAFE WATER*, and this is not safe. For toilets, yes. To bathe, maybe. To wash clothes, no. To prepare food, absolutely not. I do not wish you to get comfortable that because you observe some improvement that your work is done. Bowmanston is the only supply that has this problem and until it reaches the same level of consistent quality that the other well supplies across the island have, rain or no rain, then as customers we cannot be happy nor satisfied with the work you have done in the Pool Gully (2:45). If every time the rain falls the electricity or Internet or phone service goes off for two days we would be angry at BLPC, Flow and Digicel. BWA service is much more vital to human survival than those so should be, must be, of a higher quality consistently. Quite frankly, better than before is not a good enough standard to aim for.
