Very interesting kit. FOS has done a nice job interlacing the big and small barges into one. I am just nitpicking... surprised that there was no control stand in the wheelhouse - probably not a big deal, but visual interest. You blow me away with how effortlessly you do the coloring.

Hi Jason, I really enjoy your videos! One thing I would mention though -- I live along the Mississippi River in Wisconsin and see barges every day. Every barge I see has is dents in it -- a massive amount of them on some -- and bird poop on roofs and such. Dents in the deck as well as the front and back are very common.
@JasonJensenTrains4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!!! The dents and bird poop are great ideas and sure would add alot of character to the model. Thanks for the suggestions and Thanks for watching!!!

Hi Jason, I've been watching some of your videos lately and just watched your build of the Work Barge by Fos Scale Models. Beautiful build, but I noticed at the end after all of the accessories had been added there were no ropes to tie up to the wharfs on board. But still a wonderful and entertaining build. Thanks for sharing.

I always anticipate your vids Jason . Your layout is definitely unique and growing quick . I do look forward to the construction of the depot and what kit will be used and where on the layout it will go , unless though one is being reused . The Depot should be the crown of the layout in my eyes .

WOW!! Talk about an early Christmas morning for me for I have been surfing the web and KZbin channels trying to find the shore on how to weather a steel working platform and here you come up with a video. Damn Jason, one gorgeous work platform or in your video work barge. Just unbelievable workmanship and details in the video. Been watching other videos and also thank them for their time, knowledge, skills and giving this to us for free. Will not take anything from them for it is greatly appreciated and they has such great talent that they share but have to say your ability to teach and instruct in your tutorials are so exemplary of a genius artist. Again and will be many times more, thank you so much for such great videos you give to us to allow us to produce realistic looking structures in order to allow us to present to our friends an interesting memorable layout. Stay safe and Happy Railroading Jason!!!

Jason - Just started watching your video about two weeks ago. I enjoy seeing the changes you make to the kits making them your own. I have a couple of questions/request. First do you have a list of your most common used paint colors for creating rust, and aged paint? Second: I am looking at making a purchase of wood and need some help on selecting the correct size for siding, Ho and N scale. Keep up the great work.
@JasonJensenTrains4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Rob!!! I believe I have a video dedicated to adding rust to detail castings. In that video I show the basic colors. I order all my wood from Northeasternscalelumber.com they even have an HO scale section. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and happy modeling Rob!!!

Nicely done, as always Jason! Do you predominately use a grout sponge for all of the work that you’re doing? I’ve tried various makeup sponges and have yet to get exactly what I’m wanting. Grout sponges are the thing I want to try next.

Please tell me you scanned/photocopied the instructions in case you want to scratch build more later on.
