I'm not sure how much changed since I left 2 years ago. But I worked in OGP dispensing and that shit was hell compared to picking. Constantly understaffed and getting bitched out by customers because we were backed up, dealing with shit the pickers fucked up, dealing with 13+ tote orders, missing items, customers mad about the substitutions they received, people coming outside of their timeslot.. Sometimes when we're pulling out orders we'd hit a crack and the totes would come tumbling down. Never again lol.

Same! I’m still at OGP for 6months now. I’m a very optimistic guy when it comes to work that’s why they keep me at the back room; certified dispenser. I can’t even do picking because not everyone can handle dispensing, so they let me stay and enjoy the hot weather of Arizona 😫

Dispensing in my store is a nightmare my dispense room has no ac when it’s 90 degree weather it gets very tiring and our dumb coaches and team leads implement dumb rules to torture us like “no standing” which is when we were caught with no movement they go and start bitching to us and threaten to write us up they don’t care if it’s 100 degree weather leaning against the wall is also like a war crime to them
@savannahjackson232 жыл бұрын
That sounds horrible I am so sorry, thankfully my store isn’t like that at all
@buckeyefan14262 жыл бұрын
We also get bitched at for just standing against the wall for a minute. No ac in the back room constantly moving, team leads that go off to roam wherever in the store. Then pop in to butch at us for stupid stuff. But it’s okay for them to go sit in the break room all day. Talking on the phone or watching a movie 😏

I know this video is two years old, but thank you for this in-depth video of your job at Walmart! I just applied for the Order Filling Team position and was thankful to get some of my questions answered through your video. One question I did have was about the distributed breaks. I applied for the part-time and full-time positions, and I wanted to know how many breaks are given during your shifts, comparing both part-time and full-time. Also, were breaks arranged for you by your manager, or was it first come first serve depending on when you came in?
@savannahjackson233 ай бұрын
@@madisonrivers5831 first thank you so much for watching the video! I am glad I was able to be helpful! from what I remember if you worked 6 hours or more you would get 2 15 minute breaks and an hour lunch ( I only ever worked full time there) and if you worked 5 1/2 hours or less you would only get one 15 minute break, the breaks at my store were kinda decided based off of who came in first but one of our team leads would decide on the break times

Honestly over all I do like it, it’s really not that difficult. Closing every night can get a little bit exhausting. A few cons with this job are when we are really understaffed and behind on picks I have to send customers home empty handed and they have to come back the next day and when people call complaining about delivery (some people will swear at you and scream at you even though it is 100% out of your control) but that’s honestly it for me. I give it a 8.5/10

Orders drop every hour until 6pm, the goal is to finish picking all of them by the end of the night. There is not a necessary amount you have to have picked by the end of your shift.
