What do you do to prep for shop vacation? Do you feel like it takes awhile for your listings to get back up into the search algorithm on Etsy? I’ve heard of some people saying to never put your shop on vacation mode because it removes you from the search, to just lengthen your processing time and leave announcements. But that didn’t sound right either. I enjoyed this video by the way! That’s great that your daughter still takes naps! My son forces himself to stay awake now and will only nap in the car haha.

Hi! I deactivate all of my listings. Right! I’ve always heard that putting your shop on “vacation mode” isn’t the best thing from Etsy’s viewpoint. I’ve never tried this myself but that’s what I’ve heard others say too! It typically take 1-2 weeks for me to start getting steady orders again! It also depends on the time of the year, could be sooner or later on that. Thank you so much for watching my videos! Omg yes. Idk how I would function if her naps were not part of our day. It’s so tough!

Hi! Great video and I’ve got some questions if it’s ok: do you clean the plexiglass at all after removing the protective covering; do you seal your paint or vinyl once applied; did you add the name to the baby milestones bag? Your work is stunning and I feel like it’s too late to even get involved in opening an Etsy shop due to market saturation-but you give me inspiration to want to try!

Hi Jodie! Thank you! I just wipe the acrylic off with a microfiber cloth (I linked the ones I use in the description box) but you don’t have to clean them, just wipe with a microfiber cloth! I do seal the paint. I use Polycrylic clear coat for that. I have the exact one linked in several of my videos if you want to check it out! I don’t add the name to the bag but that it such a cute idea! I may start doing that! I totally understand where you’re coming from about market saturation. I was fearful of it when I started, but I just went for it! You can definitely do it! Find something different than what else you see on Etsy and you’ll definitely stand out!
