oH WOA i love your use of movement in this! all the tweens working together make the movements, like when rowanclaw shakes it looks so natural and smooth i adore it ! as well as that your use of colour and perspective in the background is really well done, i love how dynamic each background is but you dont overuse the linework but still manage to make a fairly simple piece really interesting and almost realistic. keep up the great work !

Mmm. This is some good shit here. I love how goddamn excited Tawnypelt is that Rowanclaw came out to her. That beam before she presses her nose to his is mmmm. There is one thing that seems kinda... weird I guess. Tawny and Rowan’s tails seem like their magnetic, since they twine their tails together before Rowan acknowledges that she’s there. So it makes it seem like their tails were magnetically attracted to each other. That’s it though, everything else is fucking great and those trans colors in the flowers are awesome.

In your personal headcanon, who do you think helped the couple make kits? :) Also I'm loving this Tawnypelt design! The red is very striking.

I mean, the genetics between Tawnypelt and a cis-male Rowanstar are actually pretty sound in comparison to the kits that they have (probably one of the only cases of this, thanks erins). There are no other ginger toms in Shadowclan during the time they would have littered, so genetics options are out. In terms of relationships, I think the only other Tom either one of them seem close to is Crowfrost, so he would be my pick. But honestly there was something to be said about the old way Warriors used to do families, where the tom could go unacknowledged and the clan was much more important in terms of familial ties. It leaves a mystery to the biological aspect that in the case of this couple, would lean a charming aspect, because the clan doesn't need to know that Rowanstar isn't the father or even care about it, because functionally he loves Tawnypelt and her kits and to them that's what matters. Also thank you! I like thinking she has more of a mix of traits from Tiger and Golden, and I feel I was able to express that well here.

Canonically he is listed in the alliegances as a girl, before appearing as a boy. For this reason many people headcanon the character as trans f to m, but according to the authors it was just a mistake and either way, he is a boy.

Snowy Is a weirdo i don’t think that these are better than canon, though having lgbtq cats would be nice, i just don’t see the point in it, as the books would be banned in a lot of countries and some people wouldn’t be allowed to read them i mean that it wasn’t really an au map, and people are sort of using stuff (like runningwing x redtail and other trans cats) just like they would use a ship that is sort of canon-y (by canon-y i mean it has a reason to be shipped and isn’t something made up) like mothwing and leafpool, tallstar and jake. ect. but yes, you are right, you never claimed it was canon, but it just kind of gets to me. i don’t want the ships taking over the warrior cats community to be AUs and not actually ship-ships

Snowy Is a weirdo yes, i don’t care if you make AU maps, as long as you know it’s an AU and don’t act like you own the characters. not acting like you own the characters should be common sense right? well, there has been a lot of that from drakinator. the one who started the runningwing and redtail ship buzz. they got in an argument with someone about redtail and said that redtail was trans. and this argument wasn’t about their headcanon, no, it was about redtail in the actual canon universe. this is a problem, especially when it’s with someone with as much subscribers and as much as a following as drakinator. i did not say i had anything against aus themselves, it just becomes a problem when people use them as canon. these characters are NOT yours. sure, you can make nice aus of them, but changing them and actually acting like you are the creator of them is just a problem. and i’m not saying that ships are AUs. ships are just fun shipping and even if we’ll never get lgbtq characters in warrior cats it doesn’t hurt to ship them and shipping does not make something an au. it’s just that, runningwind and redtail have NEVER talked to eachother, (well, they probably have once, just not in a meanful way at all) and these cats being gay isn’t really a stretch, but being trans is just a huge stretch in my opinion. i’m not saying we shouldn’t have aus at all, just don’t treat them as canon please
