What is useful is that with this type of videos, you can not only get an idea of the knives' resilience, but you can also see what there's beneath the handle scales (skeletonized or not). Two pieces of information that are rarely provided by manufacturers or retailers. How I hate skeletonized handles... 👍

@ShoahBiz3 ай бұрын
why do you hate skeletonized handles? as long as its done well it doesnt affect the strength of the knife enough to matter and it makes the blade balance better and lighter.
@BreathofSan3 ай бұрын
@@ShoahBiz I hate skeletonized handles or those drilled to make epoxy adhere better because many of them end up breaking. Not only can you find numerous images on Google and BladeForums (like with the Ka-Bar BK series), but you'll also notice that many knives or machetes tested by JoeX break at the stress point created by the screw hole in front of the handle. I don't like skeletonized handles; to me, it's a crappy woke technique, and I don't care about the weight as long as it's solid.

The Busse ASH 2 has similar geometry to these Wolverines but is much longer (so more leverage and impact force on strikes) and did WAY better than all the Work Tuff knives except the Ares, which is likely due to its crazy stout geometry. Keep on breaking!

Damn, these are really disappointing answers. I don't need a folder. I'm looking for a camp knife since I go camping. Idk why you'd assume the billions of people on KZbin only buy knives to make videos with. That seems like a pretty stupid assumption; possibly your own projection. Furthermore, if you think people don't need knives other than making videos why suggest a robust folder anyway? None of this makes any sense at all. Kind of a bummer for a guy to review a fixed blade and suggest a folder in place of it and for a guy who watches knife reviews to not understand that a few of us, among the literal billions of people who watch KZbin, might actually use knives. Pretty fucking weird, I have to say. I don't understand these mental gymnastics going on here.

Simply not a reasonably reliable 'medium sized survival knife' as advertised. Not all that worthy of namesake Wolverine and Work T. The overall design and geometry are just not all that well thought out. Field testing and durability assessments for the blade can be viewed as being questionable.
