Hi, I missed your videos. I live in Ohio and had applied to posh lives. Before I knew ohio passed a law you can not sell live auctions in Ohio without a auctioneer license. Unless you sell up to $10,000 of your own personal items. 27 other states have laws on their books. No one really talks about it. In my opinion so many people are breaking the law and don't even know it. Now my poshmark sales are dead and it's all poshmark pushes is lives! I am in a predicament. Thanks for sharing!

Oh interesting! I haven’t heard about this before but thanks for putting on my radar so I can dig deeper and become more educated on the topic 🥰 Have you inquired with Poshmark about it? Everything is processed as a typical sale (whether it’s from a set listing, an offer from a listing, a buy it now in a show or setting your price in a show and letting your customers decide the value via bids) and there’s no difference when reporting to the IRS. Poshmark just sends you 1099 along with all other platforms of the gross sales. I also haven’t seen anything on the topic when doing my taxes since undertaking this career. And I believe EBay has done their multiple selling methods buy now, offers, and auctions since the get-go or at least since the early 2000s. I’ve never heard about this and would assume that the states might just be instilling some fear tactics so they can get more of the peoples moola - but I’ll dig deeper and see what’s up with that. Hahaha oh I’m sure there’s TONS of people breaking the law in all self employment careers (even not self employed people lol) the main one that comes to mind are those that don’t report that taxes 👀 or those that accept cash so the govt doesn’t keep track. Technically that’s illegal too but it’s very small fish in a deep vast ocean and I highly doubt the IRS will come to every yard sale to hear haggling and keep tabs on profit or keep daily tabs on what’s selling straight from one persons listing versus an offer accepted or if it was sold in a show. Anywho, thanks for watching girl 💕 hope you can get some clear answers from Poshmark so you’re able to sell in that style if that’s your preference. It’s definitely not for everyone, but I’ve very much enjoyed it 🥰 I feel like it best suits my personality and I love the deep rooted connections I make in the community 🥹💕

@EssentialEndeavours The law in my state passed like a year ago. It's new . From what I understand, two big auctioneer companies I read on the internet. Got into it, and one big boy got it passed.
