Society is not real. There is no "we," only you and I. And you're an authoritarian socialist using magical thinking.

Good to point out the 8 hour workday and the weekend are 100 years because they were a response to the capitalist mode of production we worked less before
@Beastmaster64.

yes and no, we did work less during the feudalist mode of production, yes. But, we used to work far more, the 8 hour work week wasa concession made by the capitalist class, because the working class was about to revolt, saying capitalism created the 8 hour work week devalues the work socialists did to better our system, even though we should, obviously overthrow it

@@Beastmaster64. do you imagine a 8 hour work day in a post capitalist society?

Very good video but I would like to point out that the Greeks and Romans didn't have to work because they had slaves. I will try to fund you.

Capitalism isn't working for 99% of us. RBE is an alternative where everything is free and all work is voluntary. RBE is a resource based economy / TVP / MFP / MFMs.

If all work is voluntary, who would work to make all the stuff? Deliver all the stuff? Dig in a mine for resources? I wouldn't. Everything is free. Why would I work if I don't have to?
@VladBunea
@VladBunea 9 ай бұрын
@jshsbeisb1836 All work is “voluntary” now because we don’t have slavery, at least on paper. Some jobs are desirable some aren’t. If we eliminate the coercion under capitalism, we will still work, but more empowered, more aware of our potential. You’ll do what you like and if you don’t like anything you’re welcome to spend all day on the couch if UBI is enough for you. There will be some social necessary work (like garbage collection) that will need to be fairly distributed (maybe by sortition?).

Buddy needs to get out more, maybe try living as a tradition Inuit for a year, then get back to us on what work is.

Id also like to point out that there is a meaningful difference in work done for the community. Work i do that helps people i know and i see making positive change in my community is far more rewarding than emails and spreadsheets for products that move millions of miles in 1000kg containers. I recon when an Inuit makes a snow shoe it is more satisfying than finding as supplier for a slightly greener crock shoe.
