You could simply pole up a tree surrounded by spikes for the first horde. Just make a platform out of wood frames 5 blocks up. You won't get any cops, so you will be perfectly fine. Just bring enough arrows. Useful trick for getting away from random zombies in the wild, too. Of the 2 POIs, I would take a closer look, and use the one that requires the least amount of resources.

I used the apartment building repaired the holes made sure spiders can't climb up and fought the horde in the stairwell. What could go wrong. 😱👍🇬🇧
