Not a mistake at 2:17: It could be (2x - 2y) - (2x - 2y) dx/dy Edited, I thought it was a mistake

not a mistake, he multiplied it by -1 that's why it became (2y-2x) instead of -(2x - 2y). It is basically the same equation.

@@njvillarey My mistake. If I try to distribute the minus sign in - (2x - 2y) I am left with (2y - 2x) but there is no sign in the left now. So in that case you put a + sign there. What is the explanatiom of that? I know you multiplied everything by - 1 but distributing the - should be correct too I think.

@@MrArm11 if there is no sign left then the automatic expression should be + because it was originally a - sign. Reply again if you have any more questions or if you want me to clarify further

I don't understand where the -1 came from in (2y -2x -1) at 3:55 Nvm, he was just factoring out the dy/dx

A bat and a ball cost $1.10 in total. The bat costs $1 more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?
@Monocius10 жыл бұрын
1.05$, the ball then is 0.05$ or 1 buck less *flies away*

Can all relationships be implicitly differentiated? If not, then what relationships can't be implicitly differentiated?

Could you have solved for y before differentiating?
