As a doctor and patient advocate with 20 years experience under my belt, I can tell you... this system SUCKS and is broken! When insurance companies are able to set up the networks of physicians, lobby for the laws, and control the peer review and rebuttal processes... that recipe of risk management spells complete disaster for the injured worker. That smug attorney (for the carriers) can't wait to pounce on the worker that is losing their job, livelyhood, and homes. How they can look in the mirror and not vomit, is beyond my comprehension.

I couldnt agree more Doc. Thank you so much for retaining your moral compass and integrity after all those years fighting in such a broken system. I fell victim to the insurance company, insurance Doctors and Attorneys,and judges lobbying and doing favors to throw out legit cases that arnt home run ,huge cases and do favors for the lower pay outs for guaranteed pay out on big cases later on. I've had my life destroyed over another injury now and those employers and their insurance companies, and Doctors lied compulsively in attempts to get my case thrown out and almost four years later and they are still doing the same old song and dance.

My Dr. betrayed me and even worse, when he knew 100% that the surgery he performed to me didn’t work and I was still injured, anyway I’ll start the fight again cause my condition “ carpal tunnel síndrome” is getting even worse after 4 long, long years of pain, discomfort, tears, depresión, frustration, stress, etc...

As an employee that was injured severely it is a corrupt system in California, I had to retain a lawyer and your employer will have an aggressive defense attorney count on thatcount on a gesture that we'll just ignore request for treatment and referrals.if you're thinking about bringing a suit against your employer have your ducks in a row it is a report driven system keep your records organized and write everything down you are going to become an adversary to your employer and that will change everything with your case!!! I highly recommend getting a attorney.

No doubt have your ducks in a row and document everything. Make notes of what was said from every treating doctor because it all comes back up . What happened what was recommended? What was said ? By whom when ? Yes it’s a horrible process to go through in California. I know . I’m going through it

Actually, going through my experience, my doctor's have been pretty good and very nice. They have been concerned about my well-being, and I have been evaluated to make sure that I'm OK. My process is still currently on going. When I explained to them what occurred, they were very concerned. Work related injuries are a serious matter.

Ive seen multiple workers comp doctors and my first 3 were just terrible and said I was being dramatic. I was released back to work multiple times without even being able to button my pants nor open a can of food... I worked with severe pain and had no medications given to me until 4 months later when i was diagnosed! I have been referred to a specialist and he seems like one of the better workers comp doctors and has been getting me nerve block treatments... though i am still weary about trusting too much

Don’t trust anybody from workers comp! They are smart..they will try to act or pretend to be nice to get you in your comfort zone but don’t fall for it! If you don’t have attorney get one ASAP as it will help you and then knowing you’re being represented they’ll back off a bit and do things right. Best of luck to you. I was injured at work and made a mistake and picked a bad workers comp attorny that did absolutely nothing for me or my case. I fired him and had to get a new one. Let me tell you it was the best decision I ever made. He helped me a lot he was there for me and most importantly he waited for me to get all the treatment I could ever get paid by workers comp and reach maximum medical improvement and after he settled my case with a great outcome/settlement! Depending where your at but if your are in CA. Let me know in a comment I will refer you to my attorney...you will not be disappointed at all. You’ll thank me later.

This happened to me . I saw the comp doctor they didn’t do hardly nothing to treat me . They don’t take it a step further . I went to my own doctor paying out of pocket spent over 3000.00 got compensated for nothing back . Finally got onto WC benefits and everything is being denied . Every treatment step. So what benefits am I really receiving? It’s a crazy process. Lost my job while being on this process. I had to hire a lawyer. The best thing I ever done ! As a person that’s going through this process don’t try to save a dime to lose a dollar . Hire a if possible a trial lawyer. They tend to get better results .

I say you can't trust any Worker's Comp. doctor or your employer. If possible always get a second opinion form your own specialist or doctor. Maybe even a third. Voting matters bc many elected officials aren't in favor of the average working Amercian.

Man my WC claim is killing me in WA I swear. My State and Fed Gov seem to work hand in hand to deny care to the aging workers. It is just not right. MY gov is abusing and sticking it to me plan view for the world to see, and no one cares? Is this why the IW's become SI's? or Worse? When Labor Agreed to, and enter into, THE GRAND DEAL years ago, when the WC systems were started.Labor did not know that so many years later, their civil rights would be allowed to be hindered on purpose, all with the intent, to allow dr/hmos/employers to deny, treatments, and A Dr's DUTY OF CARE DUE them, to be denied.

Always take some with you as a witness when you go to a doctor's office and to an attorneys office. Why because doctor's will either lie and or make up diagnosis that are false. The patient is niave about medical treatment and will make you believe what he wants you to. An attorney does not want a witness with you because if they give wrong advice to you then he really doesn't really know whether you are familiar with filing a grievance a complaint with the state bar or the medical board. I can tell you that my previous experience in helping people when a doctor or an attorney behaved in an unethical manner and today that attorney is not practicing law .HAVE A WITNESS WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES...........

I would be interested to know, some of the social and ill effects this all may be having on our society. What may be some of the underlying fallout from all this? People living in the streets of course, but how about domestic violence, and ect that stems out of the frustrations with the inability to obtain the Truth in our care. I want to know who many people have been jailed over making threatning statements to state officials over this mess and what that does to their lives?

Wow I've only had one company really take care of me and that was diamond shamrock before they became Valero. And they really took care of me I had repetitive motion in one of my wrists really really bad come to find out one day I was in their filing room and I had numbness in my hand I've been complaining about it and I dropped a box and I didn't get hurt but they sent me to their own doctor which was the Spurs doctor which was really amazing. They determined that I had cubital tunnel not carpal tunnel which come from my elbow and I had surgery and was out of work for 4 months. I had the best care I had physical therapy and I was able to come back to work and that was the best surgery that I ever had let me tell you that was the only company that ever took care of any injury that I may have ever had. I got paid through the whole thing and the doctors were wonderful the company was wonderful they had a nurse that went with me to my appointment it was truly amazing that I got taken care of so wonderfully

I was disabled 29 years ago,Social Security,and my State pension (union) bothe gave me a total disability,but Comp.only gave me perm. partial.Now Comp, wants to take my money and kick me off disability.I am a chronic pain patient and have been treated every week since my injury 29 years ago.Comp,says I'm only partial and don't want to pay me anymore.They said they passed a law in '07 to put a 10 yr. cap on disability.Hello,I haven't work in 29 yrs.and can't.What can I do to fight this. They want me to look for work.I am very limited and can't do any work what so ever for any period of time but an hour at the most,and that's a good day...Oh I had a neck and spinal injury.They wouldn't approve an operation in the beginning and I've been suffering ever since.What kills me is,They say you look fine.I'm glad they can see what I feel or how I live.Talk about not being fair.I have lost almost everything in my life,now they want to take the only things I have left.

Is there a RULE in WA State and Others that says Lawyers should not take the workers cases if the occ medd Dr. says he is not going to support it? I have tried to lawyer up 4 times now in 2 years. The 1st one actully Called my Occ Med Dr. and asked them if they were going to support my claim? occ med said no so they would and they would not help me.Is there like an Un written RULE or Gentlemen Agreement To not take the smaller cases or stage 2 backs?

I can absolutely say, state that doctors lie. My impairment physician showed from her lap top what my doctor stated in my records. I was willing to prove to her and she said she believes me. But my impairment rating was conducted in my truck. And my doctors staff treated me badly. People you can file a complaint with the Mexical State Board. But there is also Facebook and videos as this. As it said in this video that your State officially make the rules for Workers Compensation because they benefit from this in a monetary way, they get money contributions for their campaigns and the state officials they themselves are CO'S, own the company and so they pay into Workers Compensation but they want to hold on to their money the employee doesn't benefit.
