So old, look at the clothes that the women are wearing. The owner of that mill killed himself when he had to close it down and lay off all the workers, and now they’re building fancy flats on the site, I guess that’s “progress” for you eh. Wouldn’t it be awesome to go back just for a little while and experience your home town in such an archaic time... Video clips when they’re this old they become like little windows into a time that seems like a whole other world now. Love your home town, respect history and the elderly

Was rebuilt this mill too from a fire,I wonder how many of these boys throwing snow balls perished in the first world war,brutal times

I worked in the office of that mill in 1972-74. Pressed Felts. Knocked it down now.

Everyone wore a hat in those days. Even when I was a child dressing up meant putting a hat one. Even as a child in 1960s we all had hats for Church on Sunday.
