I had the same issue so i cleaned it and it worked for a short time then same thing happened again. I found another connector on the left side of the transmission opposite of this one 4 prong i believe, i unplugged it and it was full of condensation so i blew it out with an air hose and put some dielectric grease on the seal and it works perfect now.

@Kevin Caudill it sometimes shifts roughly , and the other day, it went to limp mode For now , i just cleaned the connector with Q20, and the transmission worked fine with no issues I'll be checking the source of the leak in the coming days

im leaking oil my trans just went out well not shifting 2007 yukon does my truck have this plug cause i got it fixed before an theshop said it was something with a shift idk if this was it but he said if it get wet again it would go out again but i couldn't find any videos of nothing that could get wet that would hurt the transmission but this

THIS is what caused my "RANGE SHIFT INHIBITED" PROBLEM WHEN I LOSE REVERSE. Sure enough I had fluid inside. Clean it out with brake cleaned and worked just fine. I wasted money on an ignition switch when all I had to do was get my lazy ass under the truck and just check. Now I'm about to go and return the NSBU Switch and get my money back.

The ignition switch is a common issue. I have a spare OEM NSBU now also. To clean those parts.....gas.

I had my high idle light come on 3 times on 4.5 hour home last week, preceding a kind of jerk in transmission. Ill check this. I am going to do a tranny fluid drain and fill with filter soon.

Hello, My truck is a 2009 Peterbilt 335, in the mornings I turn it on and it drives great, I can drive it all day without any problem, but without turning it off, if I turn it off that's when the problem starts and it no longer wants to drive anywhere, he changed the switch, internal transmission switch, speed sensors and the internal wiring of the transmission and the issue does not disappear, do you think it is the TCM?

So all those wires and solenoids on inside are soaked and work in fluid, but if it gets fluid on that outside connector it causes tcm communication problems? Having issues with mine

Yes I have seen it many time I think the connector may have movement and the oil between those flat pins causes the loss of data to the TCU

@Kevin Caudill I did that it's just hard to diagnose because it's intermittent but anyway I'm ordering the connector or harness, happened month a part driving 70mph gauges went crazy & it down shifted for 1 sec after that everything normal

Yes in a pinch it will dry it out but it will leak again.

Use gas. Never use brake fluid. Very corrosive. If you meant brake cleaners, might harm plastic.

Hello Kevin, I found fluid in mine and now trans overheating after driving couple miles also struggling of shifting gear and rpm fluctuating..when trans overheating,check trans light shows up and truck not moving!! Any idea please

I know oil in the connector will cause shifting problems but not over heating. what is the engine temp? trans is normally 150 to 175 on ours.
