GTA IV is my favorite when it comes to the vigilante missions. As you can not only do the regular vigilante missions. You can also do the most wanted missions to get a achievement and get closer to completing the game. Sure in VC and SA you can use tanks and a hunter but the thing is. That is over the top and too wacky for me. So that is why GTA IV is my favorite in terms of the vigilante missions.

You don't need the cop uniform to complete the vigilante mission just jump in police car , SWAT/NOOSE van , FBI/FIB car , Tank , OLBarracks , Hunter , VCPD Cheetah or police bike .
