WORKING AS A CVS RETAIL PHARMACY TECHNICIAN!! TRUTH/ INTERVIEW +TIPS!

I worked at CVS HEALTH for approximately 5 months then left for a better opportunity. I thank them for their professional development and success in future endeavors but it was just time for me to go. This video wasn’t made to discourage anyone from pursuing a career in pharmacy. Use cvs as a stepping stone , get in , build your work history// experience get certified and get a better paying job is my advice !!

I have been a certified tech for 17 years now, I love my job! A high volume retail pharmacy is very demanding, physically and mentally exhausting. Only the strong survive, if you have the right tools, training and support staff it can be enjoyable and rewarding. Not knowing how to resolve issues can make technicians feel incompetent and ultimately a lack of confidence in the field which can have 2 outcomes, giving up too soon or more eager to learn than ever before. A good technician is always learning and growing.

I just quit CVS yesterday!! 3 weeks I am physically and mentally exhausted. Crazy job no proper training nothing.. very bad experience! I guess all the retail pharmacy like Walgreens,riteaid same scenes.

@@slayer5922 you are so right.😀 let me tell you the truth I hated from day 1.I thought it will better but it didn’t.Pharmacist and other technician they didn’t train me properly + plus didn’t let me finish my modules. Always at the pick up. I was so confused with their behavior towards me. Overwhelmed and what not .Those people need medication first 😃

currently on my 7th training shift & seriously thinking about just quitting. i still haven’t had ANY hands on training bc the store im at is severely understaffed so they “never have time” to train me. it’s honestly ridiculous & stressful i’m over it atp

I currently been working for cvs as a store associate for almost about three years.I’m thinking about switching to being a pharmacy tech to carry on my career since I’m going to school for nursing. I think that would help as far as learning the medication. So far I just been nervous to switch since my pharmacy is always crowded with customers.
