Great story Jillian.I used to work at a now defunct Chuck E Cheese in Union New Jersey when it was a franchise and I played Chuck E.He is my hero and he still is.I was Chuck E from 1996 to 2003 when the franchise was sold to new management representing CEC Entertainment.Those people fired my friend who shared the same position with me.Now,I live in Texas City,Texas and I seldomly go to my local CEC in Webster,Texas near Houston.Have a blessed day,sweetie.

I'm at manager get at my Chuck E. Cheese's, and I agree, it is very stressful but in the end it is worth it! Hours are a problem usually BUT at my location, about 80% of the people that ask for more hours, get more hours. It's a fun place to work, I'm glad you liked parties!

You know I work at Chuck e cheeses too. They have me do all sorts of things at times. But like you a bit, my 2 main positions are kid check and chuckie. Sometimes, they had me play chuckie every time he's supposed to come out during my shift. I personally think being Chuck is fun. All the sweatiness that comes along with it, I think it is worth it. I'll do it whenever I'm told. I am actually unlimited on how many times I'm willing to do it. Like they say "John go wake up chuckie" and I'm like okay. Yes, I've been pulled on before myself.

I have really long brown hair, and I was in the costume yesterday and a kid yelled "I CAN SEE CHUCKE'S HAIR". My coworker looked at me with a look of panic and she tucked it into my shirt haha. I couldn't imagine being Chucke 6 times in a row! They made me do it 3 times in a row and I thought I was gonna die.

Sara Davis try working a double and all of your coworkers are too big, 6 foot 5 and above it 4 foot 10 and below. I had to do chuck e 12 times open to close or 11 of whatever it was plus 3 bday shows. Longest I’ve been in the suit for over an hour when we had 7 parties at once and everyone took their time to get pics then I had to do a road show since I was still in the costume lol I love my job and that’s not sarcastic sure sometimes it sucks but it’s better than working fast food

Yesss! The managers at CEC always wanna hire new people yet the employees they do have aren't getting very many hours to begin with and are wanting to work more!! Not to mention that there are so many things you have to do to close. Its a fun job but we should be getting paid more than 7.50/7.75 an hour.

They have like 3 people in the front running a place that has hundreds at once and they expect you to do everything. I finally escaped in 2013 and by that time I was 21 and an asst. tech/gameroom team lead. i still have nightmares of that place but besides all the screaming kids and stress, the people I worked with were awesome and made it worth while

They pretty much just asked if i liked kids and if i was a patient person, after that they went on to ask about my availability! Be sure to be extra enthusiastic and extra energetic they LOVE that! You cannot be shy or timid one bit. They only had to ask me those two questions because of how i answered them and how enthusiastic I was, I've seen so many people not get the job because they're too quiet and shy- Chuck E. it really doesn't matter.. they'll make you😅😂 they'll ask you during the interview and if you say you can't be chuck e you most likely won't be hired. no one wants to be chuck e- it just goes along with working there!
