WORKING BORACAY BEACH - Philippines First Foreign Lifeguard? (World Famous Island)

There are not as many people working Boracay Beach as I expected... but there certainly are a lot of lifeguards! And I spontaneously joined them as their honorary "foreign trainy". Was I the first foreign lifeguard in Boracay? Probably not... and well, I wasn't really a lifeguard, just had a good time exercising with them!
Anyways, this is "Part 2" of our first day in Boracay!
A world famous island full of beaches here in the Philippines. There are a lot of unique people along the beach, working, living, and just having a good time!

I can’t wait to get this pandemic behind us, I’m definitely taking early retirement and moving to Bicol, cam sur, baao to be with my extended family, and farm a little and give back to the people who took a tourist wet behind the ears 35 years ago to find a great great Puerto Rican uncle who as a merchant seaman moved to the Philippines in 1934 , found his descendants in Bicol ( my family) and they welcomed me with hugs and tears , can’t wait to retire,, thank you kulas for helping and loving the Philippines

Perfect timing Kyle! As we've never been to Boracay. In the pipeline though. Some say it's the "8th Wonder of the World"! Good insights as you usually show what & where affordable and the little places that matters to a great many, i must say. Being down to earth anywhere makes the locals comfortable & being friendly and nice to people. The one thing I've noticed is that you're a natural with your approach. The 'Las Felipinas' has loads of islands that a great many have yet to see. Looking forward to your next episode.

Aaaawww Cecilia and her husbnd, what a hard route they have been on. To survive stage 4 liver cancer is amazing! He is a very strong person, that is rare in any cancer at stage 4 especially liver, so I wish them all the best and hope they do get to retire in the Phillipines. Unsure what you had for lunch , you each had a different soup that you ate with chopsticks, it looked nice! For your evening meal that was a lovely colourful restaurant on the beach, I loved their lamps. One or two of those lamps along with your colourful rug would be fantastic. I'm with you again Therine, the lamb looked gorgeous, you're making me so hungry!

Hi Kulas & Therine; Just thought we would let you know that we watch every Vlog here at Gravelbourg Saskatchewan Canada. We also have our home at Patnongon Antique as well. We have been to Boracay a couple of times now. First time I thought it was fantastic, but the second time it was wall to wall people and trash. Now seeing your footage I think We will go back there again. It looks much much better now, but it’s so sad to see all the closed shops along the beach and in D-Mall. It’s a little better than an hours drive from our house there. We just jump in our vehicle there and go touring. Like you I love the Philippines, and would love to spend a lot more time there. Hello Kulas, I was ur Filipino /Canadian who went to school in Toronto for 8 years and move North Vancouver B.C. close to Stanley park late 70's and open a business in Cagayan de oro city, with Xavier states and Pueblo de oro. Having said that i have travel most of Mindanao from camiguin, dinagat island, lake sebu to cotabato and was dangerous side marawi and maladeg and other places. I have never dated a filipina before, but now I am married to one in Cagayan. For now I'm in L.A California. Waiting for cov19 to subside so I can go back to the Philippines to retire and open my resorts in Siquijor island. I have invested here 30 years ago. I have traveling all over the world and see the potential of Siquijor island has to offer and it's safe. Now it's time enjoy life. Watching ur videos reminds me of you during my younger days with NO video camera and Utube. I remember when I took my cousins in the U.S to see Boracay for the first time, how great and breath taking it was. To seat on top of the jeepny roof and see nature at is best. Boracay then was still a virgin place. No buildings no tourist just bare land and we played basketball with the locals with their sandals/ with our nike shoes, but unfortunately we lost the bet and the game. I love ur Video and ur love for the people in the Philippines. We have to enjoy life, we humans are in a borrowed time. PEACE god bless you and be safe.

You can never go wrong when choosing to vacation in Boracay! Been going there yearly but I just missed out in the last two years when it closed down in 2019 and COVID-19 started wreaking its havock in 2020. Hopefuly, for 2021 when all things are cleared up and there are no stressfull paper and travel works that needs to be complied, then its no 1 travel destination for me. In, the meantime, just relax and watch vlogs of @BecomingFilipino with his beloved Therine in Boracay! 😊
