How do?
You’ve moved to North Northshire in the height of the stud boom in 19XX. Professional stud maker Lee Tariat is here to help you get settled in, and start the exceptionally boring job of hole punching.
This roleplay includes a soft spoken northern accent, and a loop of a very repetitive, sleep inducing task. There’s tapping sounds, Velcro sounds, and general worker ambience. It was originally going to be seven and a half hours long, but I figured two and a bit was okay. Enjoy!

“the working class never die...we just become unionized” should be on a t-shirt. the meditative quality mixed with the soft white noise is incredibly calming, but tingles aside my area of research is industrial history and i love everything about this.

@Britannia The traditional working class is fading away where I'm from. It's not necessarily a bad change though. Factories were a big part of the workplace here and during the 80s and 90s they all began closing down, which completely changed the atmosphere. Nobody can leave school at 16 and get a handy job in the factory anymore.

It’s interesting how the technological limitations of the past impact how we associate with it. Back then the music was crisp and the world in color but we will forever view it in a staticky, sepia toned tinge. Makes me wonder how the 2020’s will be remembered.

Can you imagine? Back in the day workers were quite disgruntled because of the factory acts that bound factory labour to rules. They weren't allowed to make as many hours as they used to and their children weren't allowed to work either, this sounds good on paper but the income of working-class families dropped significantly. Crazy how nowadays all we wish for is less work hours.

Also see the pizza shop that paid everyone 20$ no benefit doing harder or more skilled work there. Tbh way too much focus gets put on the working class, as someone who's working class myself i completely understand that without the rich people behind the world's corporations i'd be out of a job, it's great to be recognized for the part you take in building important things, but all too often people especially on the left-wing pretend that we could invent these things ourselves if we just took over the factories and that's simply not the case at all, if you left me in charge of the whole factory i'd have absolutely no clue what to do with it and would waste all the company's money on nonsense and have nothing to pay the other workers if we fail to meet sales targets for a quarter lool I often compare it to middle class people who think electricians and plumbers are just ripping them off, the idea that the other guys' jobs are easy as hell and anyone can do them easily, middle class people tend to act that way towards plumbers and working class people act the same way towards their managers, ceos etc but in both cases it's a complete fallacy, these positions all exist for a reason but people always think their job is the hardest and everyone else has it easy

@@jacksaad472 I’m working class and my job is piss easy, just long boring hours for not much pay, my boss is a bit go a scumbag but I also think that a some plumbers and electricians are too, most people are out for money and it’s not their fault, just the way the world is but I do feel like working class have it harder then most rich folk and definitely the ones born into it
@jacksaad472

@@sethrowley8086 People are always out to improve their own conditions whether it be through accumulating money, gold or livestock, in fact that's what communism preys on and what the demagogue's talking points are all about, taking from the rich to supposedly give to you and thus improve your own conditions by giving you money. They ironically tap into the same mentality the rich have in order to fight them lol and nowadays especially the alliances between companies like Coca-Cola and the modern left-wing should seriously wake people up and sadly have not yet, people don't yet realise that it's all a show being put on for them by the political class and the lobbies who are eternally wealthy and would become undisputedly wealthy in a socialistic system with restrictions on social mobility for the everyday citizens (but obviously not for them since they write the laws and the rules) The issue with socialism is that the government elites and their closest allies will always have money and through their money they have power, by doing away with capitalism you simply do away with the private citizens' ability to accumulate similar wealth which creates an even starker imbalance of power in the favor of the established elites which is why they're all for socialism and tbh them all being in favor of it should sound some warnings in people's heads.
@gnorung7769
@gnorung7769 3 жыл бұрын
@@jacksaad472 Oh for lord's sake don't engage in this boot-licking mate. I'm not even a communist myself but it is mind-boggling how misguided the average person is on any left political position, especially in the US. What many call "left-wing" are in fact some sort of liberals, which is centrist at best. Coca-Cola and other large companies have a neo-liberal agenda, which might align with the left in their social messages like acceptance, but is otherwise completely opposed to it. You're not going to see much leftism in social media, just liberalism which is only left compared to fascism which seems to be all too popular nowadays. Much of left-wing politics is vilified or shunned in much of Western society-again, mostly USA-which is bad for discourse no matter what you believe in. As for people on top the chain... I just cannot believe that they are many of them are that qualified for anything other than manipulating and oppressing people, to be honest. Upper class people do not "invent" or produce or research or create, you know. Engineers and scientists, who do the mental work, are usually middle-class at best, while assistants and other data specialists manage the logistics of it all. Most upper class people only make decisions and their primary concern is maintaining their power rather than doing a good job. I respect anyone who might have accumulated their wealth by doing their job well, but the truth is, most people are born into wealth, and the rest were born into relatively comfortable lives and were good at exploitation or networking. Capitalism is the enemy of meritocracy. But then again, similar problems may rise in communism as well as power is accumulated by a small group of people. However, left is much bigger than just communism, and even communism itself has various definitions. At the end of the day, you are free to believe in whatever fits your worldview-best thing to do is probably not conform to a single political label like I do. However, it really bothers me to see someone from the working class to degrade oneself. I will always respect someone who produces something tangible more than anything else. You might be extracting resources, producing wares, food, knowledge, arts or entartainment and all of these are respectable, but there are so many people out there who only leech upon others and sadly these people have the power to paint themselves as "successful", whatever that is supposed to mean.

@@gnorung7769 I think if you acknowledge that people are entitled to engage in free association with others and stealing is wrong, all the extreme left positions are pretty nonsensical. Beyond everyone paying taxes to pay for common infrastructure and services, moralizing from bad premises from the far left is disingenuous. For what its worth, I think UBI or a negative income tax to create a stable floor for everyone would be a fine idea if implemented right to act as a sort of "social infrastructure," it's the left-wing takes borne out of anger and envy that I find distasteful.

If no one works then how will the rich convince the poor to spend money that they don't physically have due to no jobs being available (since now only robots work)? Truth be told the rich need people to buy so that the rich can stay rich, no jobs means no one buys. They go back to fair physical trading (my chicken eggs for your carrots). Since there's no jobs, no one will pay for medical attention. Just trade treatment for volunteer hours on helping the wounded. i live in one of (if not) the most prolific ex-mining towns in the northeast, so manual labour is very familiar to me- this was really comforting and made me feel right at home 🥺

Us ASMR aficionados are a weird bunch...I just sat and watched studs being made in a happy trance, for...a long time 🤣. Yussss for repetitive tasks, and those unfurling and crinkling velcro + glove sounds! That intro 😂, and the end! Yay for the oldtimey audio filter, this one's got a peaky blinders + ESMR orientation vibe. I spy a slightly different moustache. I wanna hear more of Lee's musings on work and capitalism...and his four ferrets.

Just throwing this out there, but do you think a Klaus ASMR video might be in the cards? Umbrella Academy was everything and you really truly do all of your characters such justice

I had a ferret, found her in a bush at my in-laws' front steps ... Coal is good for the teeth.. scary looking at first, but makes them angel white, out of the soot... ain't that a metaphor for something. Like the teeth of a phoenix. But not just any coal. Coconut I think. Always read labels. Good "work", Jim as always. That's why it's supply and demand, not demand and supply. ;)

not gonna lie, i loved it. it reminds me of fallout in the wastelands jamming to that old music. and the radio sound you added to your voice made it seem like it was coming from a walkie talkie or radio. it was calming and familiar to me when i listened. great job as always!

Making studded wares for drag queens since the dawn of time with two gaffs for lunch; a life everyone should aspire to! This lovely bloke is doing truly noble work Jim. Drag queens MUST HAVE studded wares because always looking glamorous is expected of them after all. 😊 ❤️ For this foray into the Jimverse of movie length ASMR I chose to listen . The crackly music, Lee’s lovely accent and the delightful scraping and gentle banging noises made by the spike and donut thingy 😋 made me so sleepy it was wonderful. Thank you for coming up with yet another cool original idea for us. (Weird though, because your brain is so chaotic and this is so utterly soothing.)😉

Beginning made me laugh, white noise made me sleepy, dialogue made me convinced Jim should be a screenwriter. Almost 2 and a half hours of sheer bliss from the legendary Jim Boy himself? I'll take it, thanks. In all seriousness though, I'm 5 mins in, about to head off to bed and this did the trick. Astonishing work as usual, Jim. 30 mins is enough work alone, anything past 2 hours is insanity in it's own right lol Personally I wouldnt mind seeing other characters portrayed in this setting like a bartender, shoe shiner or even a carriage rider. Again the white noise seals the deal for me. Seriously though, well done.
