This is the new generation. Let's bring in the migrants - they want to work. They will wash cars, cut grass, clean houses. A lot of this gen is looking at the ballers and the celebs and think they are getting $$$$ for a few years of work. Do their employers see their tiktok? They can lose their jobs for TT.

This inflation is just pushing everybody over the edge. Food is too expensive, cars are too expensive, homes are too expensive. People don’t mind working if they still can have a decent car, affordable house and a vacation or two each year. Nowadays….. it’s just not possible. People are tired of it. They feel like they are working for no reason at all. They can’t save, can’t afford rent, can’t afford Christmas gifts. It’s some bull.

I partially agree. Lazy yes, entitled yes. But inflation and the Biden economy has stolen the American dream they were promised. When the American dream is unobtainable people feel defeated. Also woke agenda put some of the wrong people in leadership. Some of the leaders have no people skills. So it’s tough. Personally I tell people depending your religion polygyny (3 incomes will change your life). I’m an extremely high earner top 5-6% salary, my wife is now the same top 5%-6% earner, we save her income and pay for the fun things we like, my 2nd wife middle class salary is all savings. Ladies why struggle find a good man, leave all this independent strong stuff behind.

The working classes are being squeezed into poverty. But anton doesn't rock with anyone who is tired of working 80 hours a week and not seeing their families due to working.
@TheGreatness-gg1jx
@TheGreatness-gg1jx 2 ай бұрын
The problem isn't working 80 hours a week. The problem is the Policy Decisions that are creating hyper-inflation and the erosion of your purchasing power and living standards. At investment banks it is assumed that 23 year old analysts will work 100 HOUR weeks until they're 30 or so. But we don't hear them complaining even though their living costs are very high because they know what the pay-off will be long term. If you're working at UPS 80 hours a week it's a different cost of living situation that is directly impacted by POLITICS. We have to VOTE like it's BUSINESS and stop acting like it's some GD popularity, skin-color contest, especially if you're making under $100k.

Working 5-6 days a week, 8-9hrs a day isn’t the problem. It’s doing that and still not being able to afford the basics. You said vacations and jewelry. The gentleman said food!! Also, some people are exhausted with work bc if you’re competent you’re doing the work of 2-3 people. I’ve lived long enough to see that change take place. I’ve had wealth, lost it all and gained it back so I stay humble. I usually agree with you, Anton, but you lose me every time with the manipulative mind games you teach men to use in order to make women submissive. On a positive note, if you can make six figures laughing at unhappy men and women then I guess I can too. Maybe we should all just do what you do.

I don't have a problem working. I have a problem with the wages, or lack thereof. But I have a few things working in my favor. 1. I am currently in school studying to become an electrician. 2. Every week, I put in at least 10 hours into reading about real estate, stocks, and entrepreneurship. 3. I am veteran currently processing claims for service connected disabilities. Yes, inflation and the lack of wages suck, but I have a few things to circumvent those issues. I don't think working is the issue with any of these people. I think it's lack of meaningful work. I think it's lack of a goal or true direction. I think the issue is the fact that many of these people don't love or even like what they do, or don't make enough. Or both. My two cents.

It sucks, but having followed Dave Ramsey’s plan I’ve built up a nice savings account, I’m building a nice stack for a house, and pretty soon I’ll start my investments. Oh, I also live in Central FL! This is what keeps me pushing. P.S. Did I mention I make less than $70K a year? $2K a month pays for all my bills, including rent, cellphone, internet, groceries, you name it. Yet, if you look at what I drive and how I dress (nice, but nothing fancy or flashy or big name brands) you’d think I’m broke. 😂 Times are indeed challenging and I ain’t bout to stress myself trying to get your approval based on what I own and how big my drip is.

My question is if you don’t work who will take care of you? If you are surviving (some or all your basic needs) and not working then you are taking advantage of someone else and their work. They are your slave. How is that just? If your tire of work, what is your plan/solution? Since you are the one tire, you should come up with a solution or plan that would work for you that does not take advantage of those who are working to take care of themselves.

Most people are working 50-60hrs a week, inflation is tough on the middle class, they feel that the work is making it tough to maintain a basic lifestyle in major cities. Most people under 50 can’t afford homes. That said I’m not one of those people, I enjoy working to take care of my family and I get paid well, but the mentality of our direct reports and employees drain you. No one is working to be good because they are more concerned with life which is not wrong. I had 2 married ladies employees retire early making 100k plus because they were tired, they decided their husbands can handle the financial load.

If i made 20$ a hour 30 years ago in 1994 the year i was born i could have a home a descent car and still do fun things with my son EVERY weekend and STILL save money . Nowadays 20$ a hour and working 6 days aweek still doesnt get you qualified for half of the 1/2 bdr apartments available…. Alottappl getting help or doing something sketchy on the side f they dont care about being clean n having shit in they crib. Anyone over 45 thinks we got it easier cause the way technology has progressed since you were 20 something. The game you played in your young adult years is NOT the same game we’re currently playing in our 20/30s. And your generation is partly why shits worse than its ever been . I can pull up numbers n facts . You just got an opinion cause you tryna compare different time periods n think yours better than folks that are younger n goin thru real life as it is. This has happened before. Anyone who wasn't of age in the 70's has never seen this. Just like now It broke people's spirits and faith in the economy. We just didn't have social media to articulate what it's like. If you're 30- 40 you've lived all your current adult life without ever seeing terms like stagflation. That era did eventually end and like the older generations we will carry that experience with us and look on at those who don't understand 40- 50 years from now. Remember Reagan promised to restore faith in the country. It's not that people are weak or lazy it's that after 50 years we forgot that economic crisis of this kind happen. A lot of people are just very frustrated that after one of the biggest disasters in modern history the reward for surviving is economic disarray.

Middle working class is nothing but slaves with salary. Been that way for century! But everyone just continues to grind it out as disposable income is still available to have a little bit of life! Then standard of living spikes so high in the current economic crisis where no one could afford anything but paying rent and bills and no saving and no future. Your commute to work makes you feel like one of the cattle at slaughter house! You show up at work only to be working 2-3 jobs while your horrible bosses purposefully ridicule you as incompetent despite oddly continuing to receive all the main works from them. But you continue to grind and grind and grind and then one day your brain just freezes over and you come to a realization that you live your life just for the purpose of supporting your family where some days your children will replace you. That's the world - just one big scam that you know what it is but you can't really get off it!

We don’t mind putting in 70-80 hours a week grinding, it’s the fact we do that just to barely afford things after it’s said and done. I think for many its not the work, its the progress. I remember in my early 20s when I was in the military working 10-12 hour days and didn't make a whole lot of money. I felt like the guy bitching about being tired. Then I got out of the military 2008 and struggled to find a job that was paying enough. Then I got fed up and looked for another that would pay more. I thought if I have a job offer paying more money, it puts me in a stronger negotiating position with my employer to get more money. I ended up finding a job that paid almost double what I was making and moved on to the new company. After about 3 months at the new job I found my outlook on life totally changed. It was nice making enough money where after my bills are paid I had disposable income. It was nice to be able to be a little impulsive and it not blow up my finances for the next month.
