This is the 4th KZbin creator/maker I've watched over the past month that is facing these challenges and some talking about closing their business or Etsy shop. Part of it is the increase in sales during Cov has gotten back to what was normal before the shut down. Plus inflation. slow sales and that hussle culture is not all it was built up to be. Now many are experiencing the burnout. My prayers to all the creators that are experiencing these challenges.❤❤❤

I’m praying for you Sis. Single mom…boy mom too. I homeschool/roadschool my son. We keep the Sabbath. We also have AT LEAST one “mental health day” each week. During our “Mental Health Day “, we do whatever we want. That usually involves gaming for my son and crocheting for me. We have to replenish and take care of ourselves regularly. Also, we’re Ambassadors for Christ; so, we live by Matthew 6:33. We don’t take any thought for our lives; what we will eat, wear, live, etc. We put God first and He adds those things unto us. I pray God’s Will for you and Kayden’s lives. Be encouraged Sis. 🤎🤎🤎

Katrina, I will be 65 a sneeze away. I have been on the fence about retiring to do my crafting because of what you did in the beginning of your journey. To look at your channel today and see what you are going through broke my ❤. Sister you are a child of the Most High and he will not put more on you than you can bear. Take time for yourself and your son. I too raised a son and you know what? They grow up and become their own selves. We as mother’s tend to blame ourselves for the we could have done more for and with them. The truth of the matter is we did the best we could with the cards WE were dealt. They don’t understand that until they are grown and have kids of their own. Please don’t beat yourself up. Just fall back and take time to breathe and refocus. 🙏🏾 We ❤ you for all the honesty and for everything that you have shared with us on your channel. Put on Soundscapes music and Let Go and Let God! 🙏🏾❤

Hi Katrina, 1. Thank you for your transparency! I know it can be REALLY tough parenting, especially when our babies need extra attention🤗 2. It warms my heart and I am sure I can speak for not just myself but others too when I say this is very encouraging to hear not just your strength but some pain points as well (helps us grow when we fight thru storms). 3. I lost my son 4 yrs ago to a car accident(he was 30) but I remember him being Kayden’s age & needing more attn at times. As a single mom, I did my best but if I could turn back the clock!!😢 I would do exactly what u are doing, trying to get the old Kayden back. I pray things will soon turn around for you two🙏 Keep hanging on in there, you’ve got this. Some parents may want to give up especially while wanting/needing to run their businesses AND juggle parenthood. I think you should cut back. Like you said you will never get that time back. It’s still not to late. But success is not always what is most important. It’s hard as a single mom. I regret working all the time and not being there for my kids. Just do it. Don’t let money and the level that you are now in success be first. If he’s already telling you you are never there. That says a lot. Best luck to you.

Hello Katrina, I am so glad that you posted this video. I agree with you about the things that go on behind the scenes. Although I do not have small children as you do, there are many other areas where we may have challenging things going on. In my case I only started crafting as a hobby, but now it's my business. This all happened after I retired. So many life events have happened in my family. I have lost my husband of 45 years; then one of my sisters and a brother, all within this last year. Not to mention a prior hospitalization with COVID and it's lingering affects. Also as an older person, I'm kind of behind the (8)ball with all this technology-that's another learning curb for me. Yet with all of these things, I am still motivated to put forth the best products that I can. You also stated that we need to find our own niche. My problem is trying to do too many areas of crafting. As you have stated, that's when "burn out" can occur and you run out of "steam" to want to do anything. So again I want to thank you for presenting your story. It's all about doing things that you continue to enjoy, but doing everything in moderation. My prayers are that you will continue be the best person & Mom. Also that whatever you decide to do, that you will allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.

Praise God my sister! Sometimes God needs to shift us but we get so caught up in those things that we know God blessed us with. Then, He will take us through a valley to get our attention. Thank God He finally got your attention and you shifted. I pray for an abundance of peace and I declare that your family will healed and stronger for this season in your life. Never forget that you guys are covered by The Most High!

Katrina, I love the fact that you are so transparent with your viewers. I love your channel so much. You are a ray of sunshine and so is your son. Your relationship with him reminds me of my relationship with my first child. He is going through a phase, my younger children are currently going through that phase now. They lock themselves in their room or they are gaming constantly. When I go anywhere I ask if they want to come and they don’t anymore. It is normal. You are doing a great job with your son. This too shall pass. Just keep on praying and doing what you’re doing for him. You are in the middle of everything now so it can be hard to see all the good you are doing for yourself and him, but in the end you both will benefit from this and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I promise you that everything will be alright. Getting back to you will also benefit you in the long run. Taking a mental health day is highly important. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in trying to make a better future for our family we forget to take care of ourselves or things might fall to the wayside. I went through something similar with my family and it can be draining but in the end it is worth it. Keep your head up, you are strong and a ray of sunshine. God bless you and your family. Just know everything will be okay. ❤️

Not just to Katrina but me and so many others right in here. Alanon/Alateen is not always about alcoholism and drugs. It hits on everything we live. It's a family that does not criticize. Another thing I hear you saying is you determined what is for him and you have that right but I found that I was not hearing him saying what he wanted. You are doing a very important thing in recognizing there is a problem. I waited too long. Our Higher Power is always at hand. And Kaden is changing as a tween. So don't beat yourself up. Hi Katrina…you have such a beautiful soul. Thanks for sharing yourself with us all❤️. When your lively hood depends on your business, it’s stressful (especially since you’re doing it alone). I think you’re doing the right thing…reflecting on what’s good and what may need to change. I have 3 sons (all grown now) and raised them as a single mom…you never stop worrying about them…just keep doing what your doing and be the constant in his life…God has you both. I work my craft business too, but I don’t depend on it for income (which I believe is why I still love it😂). I know you don’t want to bring anyone in to your home, but think about bringing someone in that you can trust (at least part time)…you need time for you…when you can’t work your business, it’s nice to have someone who can. God bless and keep you❤️.

It is heartbreaking, but you’re doing the right thing by Strategically reducing working on the weekend, plan in advance difference activities and things to do with him, this will definitely help. At this age, they’re going through a transition and trying to find themselves it’s not always easy but you have notice and you’re doing something about it and that’s a good thing. Katrina I totally understand. I’m on the other side of this coin where I have so many influencers that I want to learn from and that I enjoy. The problem is sometimes the videos are so long, I don’t have the time to do the many things that I have learned. I see several of you guys rising in the influencer space, so it’s okay to dial it back a little. In the end it helps all of us!!! Let go! We’ll be here!! ❤️

I totally understand. My husband ask me why I don’t sell my crafts or do an embroidery business. I tell him for me it’s a hobby. It takes a lot of work to run a business. And I’m like you I like to dabble in everything. I have weeks I don’t go into my craft room. Since you do have so many different equipments could you do How to videos and rate things. And maybe just sell blanks. I don’t know if you could make enough doing that. That way your not trying to make so many different items for customers. And you can travel and get that channel to grow. I love your new products and how to videos. Yes self care and your son are important. Thanks for all that you do. Your amazing ❤

Hi Katrina, I have been watching your videos for a few years now and I also have a home business in Charlotte NC. It started out as a hobby but became a full-time business. My kids are grown and don’t live with me but I have 3 grandkids. I really do understand when you are the only person working the business and when the business grows you can get to feeling overwhelmed with all the orders. In your video you say you are feeling tired, I felt that way several months ago I even had to take naps. I do have some serious health issues and had to have some blood work done and my vitamin D was extremely low which was causing the fatigue. I’m in the house all day working and only go out to the post office to mail my orders. Not getting enough vitamin D from the Sun can cause the fatigue. Now I take a vitamin D pill twice a week and my energy is back.. My husband loves to take vacations and you would think I wouldn’t have a problem with that but I do because I dislike getting behind on getting my orders out so I can’t do a vacation over 3 days and I’m stressing on vacation because all I hear is my Etsy chime going off and thinking about all the orders thats waiting for me at home. I’m 56 now and I started my business later in life but I love it. Yes I get tired and once a year I actually pause my shop for a week just to reboot and I have a niche business and get tired from it. You sound like you’re doing the right thing with stepping back with a few of the businesses you have because burn out is real. Good luck and I will definitely continue watching your videos.

Ooooh I use to think man if ai take a vacation I’m going to be so behind on orders. But not anymore no tell people I’m going away and I just deal with both when I get back. I have to step away to refresh myself. Breaks are needed. But thank you so much. And my son has the same issue with his vitamin D but won’t take pills. Smh.

@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711take care of yourself. Prayer, the ugly cry, laughter, nourishment, hydration, sleep, silence, and prayer again. That is good soulful medicine. Then you exhale, a glass of wine, and some good Motown music with lights of, and just candles. You will be rejuvenated, and ready for the new change. ❤

Prayer and positivity will prosper. I learned some of the from you and I'm just starting not knowing where its going. Your positivity in your videos uplift others like myself to become better in our crafts and that it’s ok to have hiccups. Also, tomorrow can be another day as long you get some your time is what i believe. Always ask yourself, you do things for everyone, but what you do for yourself that makes you happy?
