For sport dogs and very early bite development I think working your own dog is fine in bitework... To truly cap their drive and if you are doing any kind of real protection where the dog is actually in defense it doesn't make sense to be worked by the owner. I know lots of schutzhund dogs that will bite wiry the same intensity regardless of who holds the sleeve... I know protection dogs that would not want to bite a sleeve or suit by the owner.

I was wondering that because I was playing with my dog earlier trying to frustrate her into play biting me but she didn’t. And she tried to bite my cousin before with intent to do damage. Guess that’s why
