With 4064 and a 150 hornady interlock you cannot get enough powder in the case to overcharge it. I have a 16inch CVA and get 2750fps with an extremely compressed charge on 4064.

41.4 grains of IMR-4064 or 42.5 grains of Varget worked well for me using 168 grain BTHP bullets with once fired Nosler brass.

Very well done reloading videos. Reminds me of Johny’s reloading bench. I have some three-way that I need to start a load for may have to try some 4064. I’m using 168 grain Sierra gold dots

Nice shooting! Awesome video. I think your velocity values seem reasonable. I’m at 2525 fps out of a 20” barrel with 42.4 grains of IMR4064 pushing a 168 grain SMK. I found an upper node at 43.8 grains and 2600 fps, and consistent 0.2 to 0.4 MOA. This is on X2 fired Lapua LRP brass, and CCI BR2 benchrest primers.

Glad to see you back making videos. Another great video for the record book. Keep up the great work .I have done several videos on the 178 gr eld match with Imr 4064. With good results. Was going to do another load development video with Imr 4064 with the 168 gr. Berger vld In the near future. Weather is terrible right know.

What kind of Savage are you shooting and with a 22" heavy barrel? I bought a Magneto-speed and it works great. I have two VT11 Savage 24" heavy barrels, and with Federal Gold Medal Sierra Matchking 168 gr, GM 308M I'm shooting figure eights. And this is the most consistent factory load. When I go up to 175 gr the groups look like these. To be honest I would not be happy with any of those groups. Now my gun likes the Hornady A-max 168 gr Match 8097 and is very similar to the groups of the Matchking 168 gr. But it doesn't shoot good groups with the 168 gr BTHP or the 168 gr Amax Black. I really think you should keep looking for another load.

It's a 24" barrel. And yeah I'll definitely test other bullets in the future, just hasn't been a priority yet.

Im using IMR 4064 with 43.3gr. of powder . I put 5 rounds in one .322" hole consistently. Problem is, I dont have a chronograph. Do you have a velocity range for your 43 - 43.5 gr loads? I have a 20" barrel on my rifle and understand I may be giving up some velocity but Im just looking for a guestimation. My load is super accurate but it may only be going 2300fps, which isnt good enough. I cant find anything online to enter my particulars and get a vanilla velocity guess. Im gonna have to buy a chronograph but dang it , i cant today

If you want to tighten your groups try using a torque wrench to crimp your bullets into your brass, think about how rifles work they work on pressure. If your pressure is always the same then as long as you do your job the rifle will do it’s job. I use a torque wrench to crimp my bullets in my brass.

Hornady ammo is great, but Hornady bullets are of a poor quality. Quite often the hollow point is uneven. I switched to Nosler a long time ago.

I didn’t catch what your COAL was but my experience is both Hornady and Sierra bthp performs better with a little jump rather than seating it right off the lans. Just my $.02.

I believe ur groups would have been better and I believe it's because of run-out .I don't no if u got a gauge to check for run-out but if u was to check it I believe some of ur groups fliers is from run-out.
