Don't believe you I watch others who have these but handle them differently so animals sweet with them when they bring in the tractor with the feed they scratch pet them etc form babies up hand feed some pellets.. Handle them kindly so the animals are friends. Talk to them kindly it's all in your tone the animals notice. That guy said when they are young occasional males are more aggressive he makes those into steers and marks them for future " freezer farm" that way he selects his breeding stock for gentleness. . Maybe you could weed out the trouble makers also.

You are correct in that the younger you work with them the easier they are to handle. All of our adults came from other farms who needed a new ranch for them. None of the babies like the first few interaction with people. It is unnatural to them. However, with a lot of work, we’ve earned the trust of the babies born on our ranch and they’ve become gentle adults on their new ranches. Highlands are probably the gentlest breed of cattle, but even the most gentle of them do not like it when it’s time to go through the chute for care. I recommend you watch our other videos where we interact and feed many of the adults by hand. This took a lot of work since most of them came to us very wild and untrusting from whatever happened to them prior to landing at Junod Acres. A pretty amazing feat considering I have two other full time jobs and still find time to spend with them everyday. I hope our channel and the others continue to provide entertainment and education for you.
