This song reminds me so much of my dad God rest his soul who passed 14 years ago just gone on the 4th this month. He deserves as much a medal as the soldiers who has passed. I miss you so much dad You are and always were my hero xxxxxxxxx

i went down the pit in 1976 at the age of 16 years and my dad dint want me to, it was the best 16 years of my working life, im a health care worker now but coal dust still and always will run through my veins, long live scargill.

@SwingingHips ey up bud soz. i just seen your message, i worked at nostell pit from The age of 16 for 10 years then Mrs Thatcher got her way and shut it, so i went to the big K some great geordies worked their but it wasnt my cup ov tea. i then went in to health care in prisons. i love my job but my heart is still in the pit. i would not swap the great full year ov 1984 for nawt.
