Working on My First Projects in New College Major

Hey Everyone,
For those who don’t know, I recently switched my college major: I was in Visual design engineering and now I’m in Animation and Visual Effects, trying to double major in UX design. I love my classes so far and although it’s only been week 4 of school, we’ve done so much and all the works are project-based.
This wasn’t’ the original topic of the video. I was simply too busy with projects that I didn’ record much throughout the week. When it was editing day, I realized I hadn’ even recorded what I was supposed to, so there was a last minute change.

just stumbled across your channel, im in 112 and i was so confused when dan was talking to you during lecture last week💀 welcome to cgt ps: you probably already know but if youre interested in adding UX make sure to get ahead on the application process and figure out how it would affect your graduation timeline! when i was first codoing to cgt i wanted to get into UX, but they only accepted codo applicants in the fall semester

Quick question, was there something specific about Visual Design Engineering that you didn't like? I was thinking about transitioning to Multidisciplinary Engineering after this semester, and have had a hard time finding people who/were are in it

If you want to have a career in the engineering field then Multidisciplinary Engineering is perfect for you . We have various concentrations in MDE like Visual design engineering, Theatre engineering, nano engineering, humanitarian engineering, etc. The thing about MDE is that besides engineering coursework, you also take certain classes and various other field, which makes your stand out int eh engineering pool. However, along the way I figured that I didn’t want to work in the engineering industry. Right from the beginning I was debating whether I should switch to industrial design visual design engineering was the only thing that kept me from switching. But the thing about VDE is that the curriculum is very similar to mechanical engineering don’t have a chance to develop my design portfolio. Also I just figured some other interest I wanted to pursue. I wanted to pursue what I love and not what I should if that makes sense. If you want to learn more about Multidisciplinary engineering, you can look up MDESS at Purdue. That is multidisciplinary engineering student society and they will give a lot more insights than me. All in all, multidisciplinary entering is amazing, it’s just not what I wanted to pursue. P/s: environmental engineering was a concentration in multidisciplinary engineering before they merged out. Multidisciplinary engineering it’s kind of like the cradle of engineering disciplines

That project looked dope! How did you make it?

For the two faces opposite of each other, I used a software called processing. For the two hand reaching each other, I use adobe illustrator. For Scarlet witch and vision drawing in the thumbnailI, I used Procreate which is the one I’ve used the longest
