My oldest daughter and I have always done the “heavy lifting” to meet our needs. My youngest is disabled. I’m proud of how such strong women they are in spite of of their Dad’s absence in their life. This just amazes me! My favorite colors are greens! You picked out every faucet that I have in my house! Mine are all in nickel color. Including the handheld sprayer for the shower… which doubles as my dog bath! You may have a triplet! In Alabama! 😂. I really like your dad! He’s a man of knowledge and experience! Just like mine was! Congratulations Corie! Everything looks very pretty! I'm so happy to see that I'm not the only one who likes carpet. Hardwood is beautiful, especially in an older home, but carpet is so nice to have in a bedroom. We have area rugs but I do miss having full carpet, even with all the mess people talk about it. I love that your dad knows how to do so many things. I have to hire things done. REMEMBER though that new carpet puts off formaldehyde. We had to leave the windows open a half an inch at Church and no one could be in there for a week. And it has nothing to do with the glue it's the actual carpet itself. Be safe. ❤❤

We ran into the same problem with our kitchen cabinet handles. Our oak cabinets were made 50 years ago and when we decided to update the hardware we discovered that the holes didn't line up with the newer hardware. We did what you did, just cleaned them up and they look great. Yours also look great. Good job and luck with your remodeling.

I like those cabinet pulls, now that they've been cleaned. Very pretty! Someone must have tried to paint them at some time.

Don't know how you cleaned up the one cabinet pull, but I will share with you the easy way! Buy a cheapo crock pot from the thrift store, fill it about 3/4 of the way with water and add a half cup of your favorite laundry spot cleaner (I use shout). Put the hardware in, cook it for 45 mins or so, and the paint will slide off (use an old toothbrush). I did all the door hinges, door escutcheons and brass light switch plates in my house in a long weekend, including the removal and reinstallation! Definitely not a job to be afraid of. I got this tip from This Old House at least a decade ago. It really works!

Fleur-de-lis is the design on cabinet hardware, a favorite of mine. Hope you got a woodstove also , always dependable, for sure. I have hvac & i hate it, also have gas logs, fireplace. Gas is so warm, like a real fire but id still have woodstove. Hvacs dont work well in cold weather, not at all up north. Im on the ther side of the mountain from you & like you, im cold natured. Though older. My older house. That burned had woodstove & i really miss it. If power iz out you can cook also so its a win always! You cant go wrong with woodheat, always dependable. The government has told us we'll lose power at some point so be prepared. Your dad is such a blessing, be thankful, be blessed 🙌

What blessings! If I had to choose a daddy, I’d choose mine over and over again! I am almost 55 and the oldest of 4 girls. So mine has the patience of Job. Luckily, he now has 5 grandboys and 2 grand girl, a great grand girl and expecting his first great grand boy in June!!!! Mommas home with God now, but we keep him on his toes!
