3 Vines seems like a lot, I'd like to see 1-2 I think. Also the fourth familiar may be mandatory if you're that deep on Big Scores.

I love these brews, keep it up! I am not sure if the redundancy of having two Storm lines in the maindeck is optimal, but I like both of them for different reasons. Sprouting Vines might be better as a grindy sideboard option to juke disruption, similar to Galvanic Relay in Legacy. I also think Lotus Petal really belongs in the list (probably replacing some number of basic lands, depletion lands, or Seething Songs). Getting free Storm count and spell triggers is super valuable, and it also makes nut draws a full turn faster.

I’d love to see what you could do with Quicksilver Dagger. It’s a weird aura that has potential, I’ve just never been able to crack it.
@markolson856919 күн бұрын
I thought of that too, but it has three issues: - no benefit from multiple copies - useless on summoning sick - only synergizes with Thermo-Alchemist I would say Ophidian Eye is mostly better, but still too clunky. It's too bad that Keen Instincts isn't common

What if the plan is Vine MD to play better versus removal decks and Umbra SB to change plans versus more aggressive and light on removal decks? You felt the way it is is better?

@@tonykit1329 I ended up trying to cut it here because I can kinda force through blue better with the rummage I thought
@sergiosanchezruiz456719 күн бұрын
@@kalikaiz I don't understand why rummage (big score and pirate's, isn't it?) is better than glimpse against blue. I see that both are cards that merit a counterspell. But rummage cost you two cards. Is it because big score is an instant?
@kalikaiz19 күн бұрын
@sergiosanchezruiz4567 it's because with big score you have Mana left over on the table for future turns. Glimpse is amazing when you're going off but theoretically big score can help you set up
@kalikaiz19 күн бұрын

Ok wait can’t you just add a sprout swarm to this deck and will on the spot like half the time?

I am curious about this as well.
@kalikaiz19 күн бұрын
Not sure how it wins on the spot
@brandonguffey595919 күн бұрын
@kalikaiz each cast will trigger your pinger and with eno8gh cost reduces it goes infinite. Even without going infinite, because it's an instant youncan cast ot ten times on the opponent end step for example, ping them down then untap and swing for the remainder. It also gives you more game on the board vs creature based decks.
@kalikaiz19 күн бұрын
@brandonguffey5959 I believe you need 4 cost reducers to go infinite with sprout swarm. I guess I can see it being a way to keep drawing here
@brandonguffey595919 күн бұрын
@kalikaiz my thinking is that for slower matchups where you need to grind advantage more, the fact previous turns saprolings can help paybthe cost of future turns cast of sprout swarm means that even with only a small amount of cost reduces or even none in more niche scenarios. I think it got banned from draft for that format or was it block constructed? Anyways, because the value it provides snowballs into itself over the course of a few turns. I guess that does mean the claim "wins on the spot half the time" isn't quite accurate, but on paper it does sound like thebtype of card that can provide a pretty good amount of advantage with even only a couple cost reducers.
