What if you sweat so much that the head covering gets soaked and now your hair is soaking in a wet covering

If your doing a workout that makes your scalp very sweaty I would reccommend pat drying with a fabric that isn't clingy (polyester, or like a light cotton like a t-shirt) If your scalp isn't super sweaty and its just your forehead or a light sweat I wouldn't worry about it too much. when your hair gets wet it will poof up a bit but then tighten back up so if your hair does get a little wet from your sweat its not the end of the world. Just don't go to bed with wet hair. It can cause scalp mildew if you are wearing a bonnet, due rag, or another type of hair covering when going to sleep. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any other questions you may have. Stay loced

@@kojolocs5118 alright thank you, i play basketball and run track but it’s very hard maintaining it. also will it keep it from stinking?
@kojolocs51183 жыл бұрын
@@hommeboy I also hoop and use to run track so I know where you're coming from. Starting with the curl sponge method will be hard especially if you don't already have like 4+ inches of hair to start (not sure how long your hair is). If you have a tighter hair texture (4a, 4c) I would recommend starting your locs with comb coils or even the interlock method. It will hold better especially for someone like you who is sweating regularly and often when your hooping and running track. It may smell a bit but if you start with interlocks you can wash your hair which will help to keep your scalp clean. If you start with comb coils you can wash as well but I would try to hold out for as long as you can to help the locking process. If you still want to start with the curl sponge method I would just make sure you don't get tons of buildup so check your scalp a few times a week and maybe try using a damp cloth to wipe through your parted sections and clean out any buildup. Its a good way to maintain cleanliness without fully washing your hair.
