As mentioned, the two points play an important role in getting into such companies- 1) One should apply to their positions and not think, that there will be a rejection(keeping in mind that the resume must have proper keywords for the job listing) 2) Network with as many people in meetups, career fair, stammtisch, Afterwork events and similar setups, as there might always arise a chance. ( Networking should be continued after getting into the company, like meeting with employees from other departments or preferred fields) Ps. If you make the right connections, you might even get to experience the upcoming prototypes/testing vehicles, and not just the already existing models 😉

Great video. I am in a gap year after my Bachelors and I have done like 300+ applications for internships and not a single interview. A few tests but thats about it. Hopefully more doors will open as i get into my masters. The part about part time jobs needs to be said more. Money is alright but you are investing so much into your education and skills, doing a part time not relevant to your field is a waste. Another tip i would say is, as soon as you get your letter of admission to a program start applying again. Some job ads will ask for it and most will not, but that shows commitment you are willing to relocate and will not ask for assistance, plus the credibility of a University. I am from EU i can't imagine how the visa process is like. Good luck!
