My friend was considering to do CA until she realized she was earning more than most CAS with her Finance degree and a few good certificates😃 😀 😄 and she stopped ✋ right there..because the truth is that a good number of people still intend to pursue CA because of the idea of "good compensation". Great video Lesego.

I think that’s the misconception a lot of people have. The market is opening for international opportunities and they may pay more but ultimately the designation teaches you a lot about business, tax, auditing reporting etc. you should never choose a career because you think it pays higher. Do proper research and then make the decision that also aligns with your strengths

I think 'I stan to be corrected though' that she might have seen the Articles salary and not necessarily the CA salary - because yes there are people who are working while pursuing the CA stream, and obviously you have to do the Articles. And the thought of leaving their current salary to the Articles salary it's one thing that demotivates them.
