Hi Fred! This is Gary again, In fact your topic today is indeed the story of my life and I’m sure for many others. This issues applies to building a house in Ghana when you depend on families. In fact, our people in Ghana doesn’t even want us to come bck to Ghana for an unknown reasons.
@kitchenmadamskitchen25644 жыл бұрын
They don't want u to come to Ghana because those in abroad work n send them money so if you are in Ghana they will lose that money. That is the secret behind.
@garyhouston26793 жыл бұрын
@@kitchenmadamskitchen2564 Indeed you’re right about that assertion. In the past I didn’t want to believe that was the case but I’m I wrong? Unbelievable.

This really hit home; just recently opened up a dialogue with my uncle about starting a cattle ranch & farming in Nigeria. He opening discouraged me because he was concerned there were no trustworthy people out there despite my late dad leaving over 15 acres of farming land to me. Truly broke me 🤦🏾♂️

Hello Fred is with Pleasure that i have to come back on this topic of working with relatives , friends etc. Being out for quite a very long time ( NEDERLANDS) , made me to believe and trust wrong people. I invested in transportation. At the look of things now , if i knew what i now know , i would've invested in agriculture. One is more vulnerable in transportation business than in agriculture . Anyway ! I am a spartan. I will do everything i can to correct those mistakes i did. Thks for sharing all this information with the world

Thank you for this insightful video. I fully agree with your advice and comments. From a personal experience don’t employ a relative especially if you are abroad. If they don’t perform and you have to let them go it becomes a family feud. Also take some time off to spend with the people working for you so they know what you expect of them. Then they can run with the vision in your absence. Thanks Fred, God bless you.

Powerful video these are the things my husband is doing with his grown children and they are doing very well we helped his daughter get a shop several years ago before we even thought of doing our home and farm in Ghana she has been the backbone of the project. What you are saying brother is absolutely true. When you give a job relatives do not work perfectly, if you are not there. If you fire him, it becomes a quarrel. It is a good idea to give someone else a job if they lose their job because of poor performance, there are no complaints

I mean..... is it sad that I would trust someone like Fred then my own family? 😨. This would be because he understands the struggles of living and working abroad as the family members back home think the money grows on trees 🌲. This breakdown has given both sides of the story which has softened my mind a bit, but I’ve been bitten in the past by family and still unsure about the trust aspect. But will take the advice on, thank you Fred you are truly inspirational 💪🏾🙏🏾🙌🏽
