I realized after I put it up that I left out the one I most often use in the real world... if someone highlights certain rows of a column in a color (which less-technical Excel users often do!), you can quickly find them all by putting on the autofilter and using filter by color. I wouldn't use it for an esports case, since those usually require working with 2-D data, but I use it in regular work quite a bit...

Hi Dim, Thanks a lot for the series. i have learnt a lot and I am hoping to enter in the sporting next time I get a chance. i feel am ready i only need to work on speed from now onwards. The VBA code was offscreen. I also learnt a lot from Gile and I look forward to joining Full Stack Modeller to work on modelling in Excel. This was a Christmas as well as a new year's gift. Perhaps the day is coming when you will be able to match formats without converting to number/text. As already mentioned, the VBA code was off screen and your online notes currently do not contain Tab D11. Thanks for the course. Looking forward to whatever is next.

Thanks for letting me know - I've updated the workbook with D11, and a second tab with the code snippets I showed. Glad you enjoyed the course! Immediately next is definitely a break 😂 This pace isn't sustainable for me (at least not unless the rest of my life is quieter than it has been this month...). But I'm sure there'll be something new after that...

Hi Abdelrahman - thanks for letting me know! I've updated the workbook linked in the video description to include yesterday's tab and the various code snippets I used. I may get around to finishing Bear Island at some point, but I can't promise it - I'll probably start by not making any videos for a while! 14 in two weeks is a lot more than my normal pace, and definitely more than I can keep up. Thanks for doing this bootcamp, I've learned a lot! One request--it seems like the audio levels on your videos are quite low and it's a little bit hard to hear you. I have to turn my volume way up and turn on subtitles to catch everything, and if I forget to readjust the volume I blast my eardrums with the next thing I listen to. Aside from that, this series has been so informative. I'm not a finance person and have no real reason to need to know excel tricks, but I started down this rabbit hole out of curiosity and now I'm committed to performing the most efficient and in-depth analysis possible on the 23 lines of data in my personal bank statements or whatever. I did save myself a good 45 seconds cleaning and sorting a list of work tasks by hand the other day, so all the hours of tutorials will definitely pay off...uh...soon! (for geological values of 'soon')

Sometimes youtube videos appear to me to be blurry and with low volume and if I change my browser, it improves? Haven't figured out what's wrong yet, but switching from Edge to Chrome or vice versa often helps me.

Thanks Laura, I'm glad to hear you found it helpful (even if it hasn't paid back yet! 😂) The truth is that I'm pretty good at Excel, and very bad at making videos... this one does seem to have come out quieter than usual, but I have no idea why (I used the same equipment in the same location). If I can figure out what it is, I'll fix it... but I wouldn't count on it : /
