love or hate avgn, you gotta give james props man. He started this wave of retro or character type videogame reviewers that inspired many people to look and say "hey i could do this!"

It's interesting to note the psychology of Ian when Pat is gushing about James. The twitching, fake smiling, constantly fidgeting. I get the feeling that James Rolfe may be getting a brick through his window soon with a note attached "back the fuck off, bitch". I hope you two never split up. You're the best couple that never happened.

Its weird because James covers a wide variety of collectors, movie fans, general comedy fans etc. His fan base is so wide that he is one of those youtube celebrities that i feel everyone knows about regardless of their affiliation with gaming. I think James is incredibly humble for how big the AVGN character has gotten. Its cool to see how James is outside the video game world. No matter how big some youtubers get, James is on a whole new level. It's hard to beat having your own movie and video game! It's crazy to think he can be so cool in person as well.

( not a bad thing) so years later I find your podcast and just Blown away! You are a lot of fun to listen too and really know what your talking about. Pretty neat perspective, Pat. I really enjoyed the final product; since you and James/AVGN have differing review styles & attitudes, it was really cool to see them both back-to-back. I even got the sense of each character shifting ever-so-slightly towards the other. I would imagine that it's not only exciting to get to write material for AVGN-- but also a bit stressful because many fan eyes/ears are on the final product and writing that isn't perceived as strong can potentially damage the character. Still-- it was a great opportunity and I think it was really well done.

Pat and James seem to have really good on-screen chemistry together. I really wished Pat would have been the sidekick in the avgn movie instead of the cooper character, it would have been comedy gold. No offense to the cooper character, he was likable, just think Pat would have been a better choice.

I have never been able to relate to the people that hate Ian, as I find him very interesting and amusing. Like all things in life, it just comes down to personal tastes and preferences. While I can understand that people may not like his personality, I simply do not agree that he is in any way holding the CUPodcast back. If anything, I feel that he adds a very unique feel to the experience, which no one else can replace.

Ian is a super nice guy....I sold my 150+ ps2 collection 2003-2006 bc I picked up a nothing short of demonic drug problem.
